Burnt Hickory Residences

This is a smaller facility where everyone becomes like family. It has a homey feel with simple decor. We love that the rooms have extra high ceilings and traditional pane windows with wooden blinds. They have some nice rocking chairs and outdoor seating and walkways. Beautiful flowers in the summertime. Responsive staff and PT on site.

Everyone is so nice, they even helped us when we accidentally mailed stuff to Dr. Instead of Rd. [name removed] was awesome and made us feel welcome and like it is a good safe place for [name removed]. She even gave us her cell phone number so we could check up on [name removed]. It's been great being able to get answers timely.

Very caring, always communicated with me and focused on making my dad comfortable I absolutely recommend Burnt Hickory Residences to others looking.

Like that, the resident mostly were friendly and the staff and residence had a good rapport. The food was good and my mom ate well. Improvements would be that the staff seem shorthanded at times or not easy to locate.

As soon as i looked at the place, i knew it's where i wanted to take Mom. When my brother and i took her to check it out, she was also pleased with it. It's been a couple of months now and all is well. Mom, my brother and i are all thankful to have found a place where Mom can be happy and we can have some peace of mind! I have been extremely impressed by the staff and care of my mother at this assisted living facility. [name removed] and her staff have been awesome and supportive to my mother and our family since the very first day. I was originally thinking about putting my mother in the highlands because it was a little closer to the house but so happy we made the decision for Burnt Hickory Residences. There isn't the first thing I can complain about and they really care about their Seniors in their care. They also have a 100 in their Bartow County rating. Burnt Hickory Residences is a well run establishment and the staff there is simply great and caring. Would recommend them to anyone.

What we like the most about the Burnt Hickory Residences community is that they keep me informed, they are patient and kind. Everyone is caring.

Feels like a family home from the early 20th century. Part of the facility is an old style farm house and the new rooms were added with high ceilings and large windows and ceiling fans. Staff are wonderful and really seem to care. Mom enjoys the food. Not fancy but country fare. Not a lot of activities but that is fine for my mom who doesn't always want to socialize. The price was less than any other facility we looked at so I was pleasantly surprised to find that we liked it so much right off the bat. Some employee turnover has happened since the move in but there are quite a few who have been there for 10 years +.

The caregivers go beyond the call of duty. [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed] were my favorites. And America's Best Hospice was the greatest. I could not have made it in Texas the 4 months I was there. I live in Georgia and spent that time away. They became my family. They worked with me to build a team. A team to help mom live instead of dying.

I would tell people that it would greatly depend on the mental capacity of their loved one going into this community. They are not set up for memory care needs. My loved one was progressing in their memory care needs, and the community wasn't equipped to assist my loved one.

This place is an absolute disgrace. They are very understaffed the owner is rude you tried to explain problems to them and they say they can only answer to the person who is first on the will even though you're concerned family members they say they check on people every 2 hours which is a lie because my grandfather stayed in the floor when he fell for over 3 hours for hours the food sucks I wouldn't feed it to a dog they are very rude and instead of checking on the customers like they should they all sit out here and smoke cigarettes got visible tattoos all over their arms look like [Removed] I would not recommend this for anyone

My sister loves living here she has adjusted very well. She is making friends doing activities and actually, she is teaching a couple of classes for knitting and things along those lines. She loves the food she is now eating 3x a day which is much better than what she was. We would recommend this community to anyone.

Very personable, sincere and thorough.

One thing I can say about the Waldrop Residenices is that I had a hard time with my dad at first, but the owner and staff did everything they could to satisfy my loved one and I really do appreciate that.
