I would rate all of them a 5. They are taking great care of Mom. She has adjusted really well to the different setting. The staff is always available at all times for concerns, questions and any help you might need during the transition. They make you feel welcome when visiting. The chef they have keeps them happy with the variety of foods. They have a calendar posted everyday in the common area that let's them know of the activities of the day. Brunswick Village is a great place.

The community is understaffed. The memory care staff didn't demand extra help for caring my loved one. There was no room for my loved one in memory care.
Response from Brunswick Village Assisted Living
December 21, 2022Dear Terry, On the Brunswick Village website https://brunswickvillageseniorliving.com/our-community/testimonials/ are many comments and reviews from loved ones and family members that speak to the caring community we provide to our residents. Our staff is a special group of caring, dedicated, skilled, and loving professionals. Our mission is to bring joy and comfort everyday into the lives of our residents. The care needs of our residents are carefully addressed and managed. Sometimes family members present demands that exceed a community’s reasonable and balanced care practices. We all want our loved ones to be well taken care of. Please call me at 530.274.1992.
All the staff has made [name removed] welcome. She's telling the family that she likes Burnswick better than [removed]. And I feel the same way, when you walk in every one makes feel right at home.

My experience is still in the early stage. I had two places to choose from and I choose Brunswick Village because I want my mom to have a location that is like a home. She likes the family feel, she has lots of supervision and activities. We as the family feel we are being heard and if mom is in need of something they see the need a get it for her and when we get there they communicate to us. I like the security I see it makes me not have more worries. Please if you are looking for a family environment for your loved one to live in when they are needing to be in an assistance facility choose Brunswick Village.

I toured many facilities in the area and Brunswick Village is the one I chose because it has excellent staff, was very clean, the food was great and it was on the smaller size so more attention is given to the residents. My friend has dementia and the care she is given is so great that she often calls me to make sure that she can stay there. She is very happy and adjusted well and quickly and does not want to leave. They keep me informed on her condition as well as any needs that she might have. I am able to visit her any day any time and she can stay in the community that she loves.

I would recommend to send your loved one here. I even plan on going here later in life. It is small enough to get individual care and attention. I like this community a lot. They do have activities at this community however, my loved one is not able to participate. I looked at several places and this was the best one we found. It could use a few updates but overall it is perfectly great and my loved one is happy.

Smaller than [removed], not as grand, but seemed to be a lot of laughter and comrodery among guests and staff. They took care of meds. I’m responsible for [name removed]’s filling out doctor forms.

I went on a tour here and the staff who gave me the tour was nice and friendly. They answered all of my questions. The other staff seemed very dark. It was a lovely place. It just wasn't a good fit for mom. I would recommend people tour communities before choosing a place,

We toured this community and this is not what we needed for my father at the time. The staff was very nice and able to answer the questions we had on care that is offered here. Families might want to tour this community for the care that is offered here for a loved one.

The staff is very professional and helpful at all times. They treat the residents of the facility like family. There are lots of activities to keep everyone busy. The food is far better than what I expected. The menu changes often and it tastes like what Mom would make. I would highly recommend this facility!

It has been a very positive experience with Brunswick Village Assisted Living. My husband is very happy there, and I'm happy. I see him about four times a week. He has gained around ten pounds which is good.

My mother has recently become a resident in the memory care section of Brunswick Village. The staff is kind and has been wonderful, helping her make a smooth transition. They are attentive to her needs and encourage her to join in activities. The administration has been extremely accommodating as well. My mother is contented there.

A Place for Mom has scored Brunswick Village Assisted Living 9.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
