Brookdale Vista

For myself, the entire staff is wonderful. They are friendly, helpful and go above and beyond to see that all his needs are met. The facility itself is very clean and the grounds are well kept. I would recommend this community to anyone looking for "a place for mom"... or as in my case, my brother.

Management staff at Brookdale is very helpful and understanding of family dynamics. The nurses and cleaning staff are nice too. My Grandmother didn’t really care for the food most of the time during her stay. I think she would have been a bit more satisfied if bread and butter would have been available at dinner. I’m not sure if bread was typically available at dinner and she wasn’t aware, but thought I’d share. Also may be a good idea to poll the residents regarding their preferred food ethnicities. Also the placement of the mini fridge under the countertop is not ideal for those residents with mobility issues.

I love the friendliness of the staff and how they care for my mom. She feels comfortable and safe.

The ratio of residents and caretakers stood out to me. Yes, I have recommended to a couple people I know already.

My mother is very happy at Brookdale Vista. Her health has improved since she moved there. She is much stronger due to the activities. She feels safe. She enjoys interacting with the residences and staff. Staff take care of her needs in a timely manner and give help when needed. I would absolutely recommend this facility.

Our 96 year old Mom could no longer live alone. Yet, she still wanted her own place. Brookdale has provided that for her. She has her apartment which she can enjoy and retreat to when she wants privacy. She has met several friends that eat each meal together and they look after one another. These friendships are very important to our Mom. Also, she is always pleased with the food and has finally started to eat properly. Daily activities are available as is transportation to shops and medical appointments. Another plus is that a physicians assistant visits each Thursday and can address the majority of medical concerns or give a referral. As relatives if we have concerns, we email the director who is currently Karen Hall who is responsible and addresses any issues we have.

my mom has resided with Brookdale independent living and unfortunately have had to move her to assisted living. Their kindness and patience are beyond what we can ask for. The staff provides very dependable care and patience with any concerns and needs. Management has never failed to respond with quick and professional response. It's a great comfort in our minds to know that she is well taken care of and for this i wouldn't have my mom reside in any other homes than Brookdale. Thank you from bottom of our hearts! I'd say for the most part lovely, caring people work there, they are short staffed like every other place but it's a nice caring place. My loved one was stolen from during the time here, which certainly clouds my feelings about the place.

It was clean. My loved one did not like the food. They had an ice cream social once per week, people were eating in the dining room area, and they had weekly church services. I picked this place because I was referred by APFM.

The staff, and everyone was super nice. My loved one made new friends, and they treat them really well. We picked this community because it was less expensive than other places.

Everything I've seen so far makes me believe that they are taking good care of residents. This community may not be the same for everyone, but for me it's been a good experience. would recommend

We had a very bad experience with the medical staff, his care had a lot of be desired while he was here. I would have given them much higher ratings if it were not for them. The staff turnover is also very high, they have a hard time keeping and hiring people. I would not recommend them to other families who are looking due to our experience.

I would tell others not to put their family members here. When I was looking into it, they had a great song and dance. But everything they told us has not come true.

Older facility - and shockingly RIGHT there with the pricing very similar to other new facilities. Was shocked when I heard wifi and cable would be extra in the room! Rooms were very small! This facility is VERY pet friendly! Smelled animals and "incontinence" upon entering facility. Staff were very friendly, but residents did not look very happy. Too many "red flags".

They only celebrate MAJOR holidays. We were shocked that Easter was not included.

We wish had had made a different choice.

Brookdale adds on extra charges monthly. They lost laundry weekly. They left the resident in the dining room for hours after a meal. They would not help her down the hall to participate in activities. Her room was not cleaned weekly as agreed on.

Brookdale Vista is a wonderful community for people in need of daily assistance. The management and staff are friendly and ready to help with residents needs. Our mom recently transferred to the BrookDale Plumas facility. The level of care provided is a better fit for her current needs. We are equally happy with the facility on Plumas. I’m happy to recommend Brookdale to anyone in need of assisted living services.

My dad stayed here for 2 years and he liked it OK. The staff was wonderful. There wasn't a lot of activities here. It wasn't as bright as it could have been. The room was smaller here and my mom was going to be moving in so we had to go someplace else. The food wasn't that good it wasn't plentiful and no variety. And they had set times to eat. The residents weren't that engaging. I would recommend this community.
