Response from Brookdale Tracy
September 3, 2024Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Your feedback will be shared with management.
Think after a few months they raised fees by around [fee removed] to [fee removed]. We were not happy about that Services didn't change, they just raised the rates. Services didn't change, they just raised the rates. They have also not been great about cleaning lately, sticky floors, and allowing food to rot for weeks in my father's microwave. Other than that it's been pretty good.

I would recommend Brookdale to others. They have caring staff. We picked this community because of the location, affordability and activites.

The common areas of Brookdale Tracy appeared very comfortable and a pleasant environment but food service look minimal. The menu selections were limited and not inspired (heavy in fats) and choosing Shasta drinks over Pepsi or Coke products indicated to me a concern with the bottom line over the residents enjoyment. We had a nurse as a tour guide. I liked that because she could answer questions about the anticipated long term care needs of my husband which was the reason we were considering the move.
My loved one is a resident at Brookdale Tracy. The staff here are very friendly and attentive. The meals look very good, but I have not eaten here yet so I can't say. Overall, things have been very good. The cleanliness and friendliness are great.

We weren't impressed with Brookdale Tracy at all. They weren't prepared for us, and everything seemed in disarray. It wasn’t very clean. A lot of the rooms were in need of repair. It just turned us off immediately.
They are good about helping people accumulate and become part of a community here. As with any care facility I would review and qualify any questions you may have on billing. I have an issue with the billing and I am still working on this being resolved. We were told one price and we were sent something else. There was one price we were given and now it is higher due to them stating that they needed to provide more care for my loved one. This was not discussed with us and it makes a difference with budget on my loved ones end.

We had a great tour experience with Brookdale Tracy, all of the staff were friendly and did their jobs well. It is definitely a qualified facility, but the location was too far for friends and family.
We have been very, very satisfied with our experience at Brookdale Tracy. I think my loved one is getting everything that she is paying for and it is a good value for what you get. The location has been great, she is so close to me now and that is an answer to my prayers. All of the residents are very welcoming and friendly. It is a pet friendly facility which is great, for an extra fee they can help take care of the animals as well. She absolutely loves it and we could not ask for anything better. I would highly recommend to others looking.

We chose Brookdale Tracy because they were the closest to family and most economical. The apartments are a good size. I would recommend to others looking.

Be prepared that the service may not be to the standard that your family may be used to or is anticipating. It was cheaper, but the cost really does reflect the level of service. The executive director was really great and worked well. But then some of the staff were unprofessional and dropped the ball on a lot of things. My loved one really liked the bible study group that was run by one of the residents, but then that resident could no longer continue with the group. I wasn't aware of any other community-led activities going on. When they say you get what you pay for, it really does apply here.

Husband has private room w/view of inner courtyard. Staff wonderful w/care and responsiveness. Healthful delicious meals w/lots of variety. Feel very fortunate to have found Brookdale just b4 pandemic hit. Could not have continued to care or him isolated on my own. Its done a wonderful job keeping residents safe and well cared for.

Placed Mom in Brookdale Tracy [date removed]. Lots of activities and Fantastic Hospice care. Nursing Care wasn't one on one, but good. Clothes and bedding mixed up between patients consistently. Then Covid hit. Only phone calls when you could get the staff to do it. After months of lock down, we were finally allowed to visit outside from a far. Moms arms were covered in skin tears and huge bruises. She said someone was hurting her. I took pictures, contacted police, Ombudsman and the State. Had a few follow ups, but then nothing. Covid restrictions made inspection hard. Had meetings with the Management, they blamed mom, said she was aggressive. Continued visits with mom, surprisingly her bruises were healing. They said they were re training staff on care. Mom was fine then all of a sudden dying. She only lasted a few days, we were allowed to go in at that time. Patient care was bare minimal. Dirty diapers stacked in the bathroom made the air unbreathable. Nurse with south african accent VERY rough with my dying mother. Yanking blankets from under her while she lay on them half alive because we complained she was laying in wet urine filled bedding and clothes. It was horrible.

I chose this community because the cost was lower then others I visited it was very clean, the friendliness of the staff, and all the services are a la carte. I would recommend this community. It is a clean and sterile environment and they have kept the residents safe and protected during this pandemic . They offer friendly, flexible services tailored to your needs.

Excellent experience from initial meeting with sales people through moving my husband into Brookdale's caring hands. It feels like joining into a family rather than just a sr living facility. On one of my first visits to Brookdale, one of the residence in the assisted living side asked me who I was and introduced herself. She told me how she loves living at Brookdale and why. Having experienced assisted living memory care facilities for my mother, these are the things I appreciated about Brookdale right away: how friendly everyone was, the residents seem content (no one begging to go home), the facility is clean and has no strong smells from cleaning products or air fresheners. And the memory facility residents were well groomed and tidy. Everything I saw on our initial tours is what we've seen everyday since. Now my husband has been there for a couple of months and been able to experience myself how caring the staff is. Everyone is warm and friendly. Always available with a helping caring hand. My husband in the Brookdale Clare Bridge, the memory section. Before the c-virus lock down, I would spend the afternoon with my husband, joining him for delicious dinner after which we'd play card, read or watch a little TV before I'd head home. His room is like our little apartment away from home complete with housekeeping! Since the lock down, I've been able to visit my husband daily by video conference. Brookdale staff help set him up in his room where we can spend time together. I feel so lucky, as do our son and daughter, that my husband and is safe and has the best of care .

My mom is loving Brookdale Tracy! So many wonderful caring people and so many activities for residents. My mom has a lovely 1 bedroom apartment with complete privacy, 3 meals served per day, exercise classes, outside excursions and so much more. I couldn't ask for better support for my mom!

My dad passed away in May, but thanks to Brookdale he was not alone prior to his death. He had fallen and they came rt away...while he was in Hospice care at the facility he was comfortable and they checked on him and tried to get him to eat. When we called they knew exactly what was going on with him and they were very caring and very nice. They threw out his trash and kept his place clean. I’m grateful for the staff and that he was in a very nice place that he liked and we liked.
