I would've stayed over there had it been closer. I like the facility and staff there more he recommended we move to Augusta proper instead of being in another state.
The staff are terrific, as is the overall environment. If we had any suggestion, it would be that they make transportation more available. Overall, I would recommend to others.

I toured this community. It was more expensive and further away from home than some of the others I looked at. They have beautiful rooms and overall seemed very good. I was concerned that as mom's health declined, they wouldn't be able to offer/provide the levels of care she may have ended up needing. In result, we kept on with our search. But it seemed very nice!
Our family had an in person tour and there were some positives we took away - we felt that we received individualized attention and the director did a good job. It is an older facility and the rooms were just not up to par with what we were wanting for our loved one - they really needed some renovations.
This was a good community. We wanted a day program for our loved one and they didn't feature one at the time.
This is a decent place so far for my loved one . For the most part I really like the staff and things are going well. The tour was good and they were able to give me all of the information that I needed.

We found their in-house physical therapy to be excellent and something you don't find at many assisted living facilities. The Director (who is an RN as well) and the RN Nurse Director of Wellness are both very dedicated, wonderful people, who really do care about their residents. Through no fault of their own, they're having staffing issues right now, just like every place else. But my loved one has no complaints about the food. And in comparison to other places, I think their their cost is right on the mark.

My Mom has been living at Brookdale North Augusta, SC for quite a few years. All staff there have always been very helpful and caring. I have never had a problem whatsoever. When COVID hit and they went on lock down, it wasn't the best of situations and very frustrating for all involved, but the staff at Brookdale did everything in their power to help make the best of it. There was an IPad available for calls to your loved one, window visitation. While it was a lot of work on their part and frustrating for the families, I am so proud that all that hard work paid off as none of the residents contracted the virus! I would highly recommend this facility to anyone!

Brookdale was a great facility. [name removed] was extremely knowledgeable and listened during this difficult time. She shared a local support group. Sadly they do not have a memory care facility. She provided insight in how to address topics with my siblings in the pros and cons of finding a facility that is best for mom.

Before COVID they had bingo, pizza night, they would bring in entertainment. They would allow families to bring in their pets when they would visit. If the resident that was moving in had a pet, they would even let them keep them. The food there is excellent, they are very accommodating to the residents if they didn't like what they were serving that day. The layout is standard, they offer three different sizes of rooms to choose from.

I recently spent 5 days in Florida visiting my Brother in Law and my sister who is,a resident at Merrill Gardens. Having made the recommendation that she go there I was anxious to visit and see the, facility first hand. I was, very impressed with everything. Her room the common areas both inside, and outside, activities, meal selection and of course the Staff. Everyone was very friendly and respectful. I am speaking for myself, but feel my Brother in law would, agree. Thank you.

I arrived at Brookdale a few minutes early and entered the main area by walking in with the Cable repairman. After several minutes I saw several staff but was never asked if I could be helped. They did have an Elvis Impersonator show getting ready to take place so I am guessing staff was a little preoccupied with the residents needs and such. I called [name removed] and she informed me that she was at home with an injury. She was very apologetic and told me [name removed] would meet me and give me a tour of the community. I understand completely that things happen beyond control sometimes. Turns out [name removed] is the head of maintenance for the facility and he did an excellent job showing me the community and answering my questions. He explained to me the fire drills that are held the security that is in place to protect the residents. My mother refused to come in and take the tour of this community as well. My mom is familiar with this facility as she had friends who lived there. After [name removed] completed showing the facility her called [name removed] and she and I had a question and answer session. [name removed] answered all my questions to my satisfaction. The only negative thing I encountered during my visit was when I first walked in to the facility it seemed to have an odd odor and I smelt that all through the facility. The facility interior wise seemed a little dated to me.

I am so glad that I have moved my friend closer to me and the change I see in him since he has moved here is great. He is taking part in the activities now, making friends and he likes going to the dining room and he seems to like the food as well. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The community is very nice, clean and well kept up as well. It has been very uplifting for me to see my friend happy again.

Things are going well for my mother at the Brookdale. She loves the courtyard that they have with a walkway. The place is clean and the people are all very friendly. The only problem we have had so far is with her television, she's been there over a month and they still have not fixed it.
