This is a really helpful place. I was able to get out of a power chair that I had been in for over 5 years and now I am using a rolater and walking. The staff is really loving and supportive. The room size is okay for me. I would like it to be bigger for my cat, because he is getting restless. The amenities suit me fine! I have back and hip trouble and enjoy having things done for me.... The staff that helps residents is great. Food and cleaning of resident rooms need improvement.

August 16, 2024Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. By giving us your feedback, you are helping us to understand what we do well and what we could focus on improving. Please be assured your feedback will be reviewed and used to help better serve our residents and their families.
From the moment my mother moved in, the staff has gone above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and ease her anxiety from moving from her home after my father died. I am so grateful. Thank you so much!

We chose Brookdale Lenoir over others places we looked at because the facility was very clean and staff were compassionate. Staff have also been very helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. I would recommend this assisted living facility to others looking.

Although there is no place like home, Brookdale staff does an excellent job of providing a home like experience for residents. Caring staff treat residents like family. Always open for family to visit. Offer many activities and celebrations with resident's families invited. Tastefully decorated. Residents are offered private apartment style rooms and can bring their own furniture from home.

We were looking for my uncle and couldn't have been more happy. The people seemed happy and well taken care of and the staff was very friendly. It’s not the newest like some we’ve seen but well kept. This was really good for our family to see as an option for staying in the area.

The staff are amazing at this community. I have worked with the sales manager a lot and he is just wonderful and explains everything. He went out of his way to help me with my loved one. We have gotten several emails of things that we can do to be involved in our loved ones lives. They are very open with communication and always willing to help out and this is excellent for us. My loved ones are very happy and well taken care of here. I have no doubt and this is a safe place. They have to buzz you in and out and also sign in and out, I feel really safe and that my parents are well taken care of and safe in this beautiful community.

The community was nice. I wasn't pleased with the staff that showed us the community. This seemed to be more of a nursing home feel.
smaller, quieter facility. Nice rooms, no kitchentte. Friendly staff.

My fathers health isn't doing the best, but he does like this community. He is perfectly content, and they are taking good care of him, and his needs. He is pleased with the meals, they provide wonderful food. There was a mix up on his medicine, but they have straightened than out now. I'am hoping the new medicine will help his health improve. It is a pretty clean community for the most part, we have had minor concerns with the cleanliness. However they have been good at helping him keep his apartment clean. It is still a work in progress, but this is a community I would recommend.

My aunt needed a home right away. I was able to interact with this community and decided that it was the home for her. Since moving in she is doing great, they are doing well. Home health comes to the community are they both are working well together. It is a very clean place that I appreciate seeing daily. The staff are very friendly and they girls are good at being accommodating and attentive. I would recommend them but it's a little expensive.

Brookdale is like the wolf in sheep's clothing. They look really good, but you should not expect a lot of care. Even though they certainly charge lots for the extra care... They are not about that. It's about show and activities for them. So, if all you need is an apartment, it's your place. But, if you need "assistance" in the assisted living center, go somewhere else. I was with my mother when she pressed her call button and waited 35 minutes and no one came. I even went to look for help. Still, I found no help that day. She fell four times in one week and had 3 trips to the hospital. On one trip to the doctor, she was allowed to fall out of her wheelchair in the transport bus because the driver (who was over a half hour late and hateful) said she didn't know how to use the wheelchair seatbelt. I tried to get my mom up and I fell on the bus too! Did I get a call from Brookdale to apologize? Of course not. When my mom got a UTI because Brookdale did not give her liquids on a routine basis, my mother became confused and was hallucinating. At that point she was "no longer a good fit for the community" unless I stayed with her 24 hours a day. Really? That was Brookdale's solution. Overall, my assessment of Brookdale is disturbing.

I was just very pleased with everything that happened there at Lenoir Park. The staff was very kind and friendly. The food was excellent - I ate and enjoyed a couple of meals there myself. Mom was well taken care of by them, even if she didn't take the best care of herself. Her room was not always clean, and she wold often be wearing the same outfit, but I am sure that those things speak more to mom than they to do Lenoir Park.

Great environment, caring staff, good food. We were warned about unexpected "a la cart" charges and this was true. This is Assisted Living as opposed to Skilled Care Nursing and there is a big difference. They will do as much as you pay for. Anything they do, above their very basic service, has an extra charge involved. I.E., meds, feeding, bathroom, dressing, help to and from dining, etc. Expect another $500 to $1000 extra per month above what was quoted. Review your bill closely and ask questions.

A Place for Mom has scored Brookdale Lenoir 8.8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
