Brookdale Lakewood AL

Brookdale is a pet friendly place, and they have transportation for most apartments that they may have in that area. I think do a suggestion box, that they could put in ideas for different meals would be great. Or involve some in the preparation of it. Those that want to help.

My loved one is doing good at Brookdale Lakewood. The food is really good, and the staff are very friendly.

The staff and the other residents were very welcoming. They have made a huge difference in my mom's life. We have had the best experience with Brookdale. They worked very hard to make it possible for my mom. They are wonderful and sbe is very happy there

We couldn’t be happier to have chosen brookdale to take care of our dear aunt. Everyone is wonderful!! The food is great especially the desserts! Everyone I have met is very friendly. The staff is very friendly.

This is a great community that provides care to all who choose to live or visit. The friendly environment sets the tone of what one can expect which is quite comforting. I enjoyed seeing the residents with their pets as this was a pleasant surprise to know that even a residents pet will be well taken care of by this one-of-a-kind community.

We had a friend who lived at Brookdale Lakewood for many years. We visited often and were always impressed with how clean and welcoming the community is. Our friend was very happy living there and loved participating in the activities. The staff was always very caring and took good care of her. We would not hesitate to tell anyone thinking of assistive living to check out Brookdale Lakewood first.

I feel the staff really cares about me and the place feels just like home. I can follow the daily activity schedule or do whatever I want. The ability to leave and come home is nice. And if I want to us the bus I can be driven somewhere within 30 miles. And best of all I am able to keep my furry baby with me.

I attended a public event held within the community. The environment was so nice and the staff so respectful. We enjoyed a meal prepared by the dining department that was ever so tasty. What a nice place to visit and live!

Brookdale of Lakewood was very pleasant and clean. I was able to walk around with my grandmother to tour the place for her to possibly make it her home. The staff was very respectful and the director was extremely helpful with all the questions we had. Overall the experience was great.

Moving my Father-in-law into Brookdale was an easy decision. Accepting the reality that he was unable to properly care for himself was not easy, but his transition into assisted living went smoothly. I credit [name removed] and her entire staff with this success. While the cleanliness of the facility, the services and activities provided, and the delicious meals were all blessings, what we appreciated the most were the high quality of care and respect he received while at Brookdale. He was not always an easy resident/patient to take care of, but he was always treated with dignity. [name removed] and her staff laughed at his jokes and made him feel like Brookdale WAS His Home! This facility does an outstanding job of caring for its residents. I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality housing for a loved one.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. My loved one and all the residents have their own rooms, which is nice. The staff are very easy to work with if we have any questions or concerns. The care, apartment, utilities (phone and cable is additional), laundry, changing of linens, housekeeping, and all the meals are included in the monthly fee. Exercise, games, social times, and more are some of the activities for the residents to choose from. My loved one seems to enjoy the meals.

The care from this community is very helpful. We like that the staff was caring for my father's needs. The community has a nice environment and the menu offers good meals. The activities were helpful for my father and he liked participating. We would recommend this community for the good care and value for other families.

The Brookdale Lakewood was a great choice because the staff is very friendly and helpful. When we were touring communities, all of them were just interested in money, but this one genuinely cared about my mother and made the process very easy. The place is kept very clean and is well maintained. On Sunday, the staff cooked thanksgiving dinner for everyone it was very nice.

She is liking it. She likes the food, and she is starting to participate, and loves bingo. She goes to get her hair done. They are very nice there. They came right away when she pulled the cord. They were good about calling me. I am very pleased. It's like a little family there, it's not so big. The only problem I have had, was when I signed her up, I think the sales manager may have said some things that weren't exactly true, there were definitely some inconsistencies. Dealing with Omnicare has not been particularly easy either.
