We moved mom out of Brookdale Kenmore last month. They only take private pay, and she was paying a premium for services they did not provide. Promised two showers a week, got none. I had to drive over and bathe her.

We would rate it a 4+ some wait times for services seemed rather long but staff was very helpful. My aunt passed away in early spring At the time she was over 100 years of age. She was of course at first reluctant to enter assisted living but found she was very pleased with Brookdale once she settled in.
Great facility, good communication. We picked this community because it was close to my mother in laws support system and she liked it when she toured.

When my sister was admitted to Brookdale in Kenmore I wasn't informed about how anything worked there. A family orientation would have been very helpful. I had questions and wasn't sure who to ask. As far as I can tell her care has been adequate except I was told her laundry would be done separately. It is not. She has lost a number of things and has been given clothes that aren't hers including men's clothes.

Personal pay options, level of care, individual independence for my father in law. Super communicative and I appreciate how quick the turnaround time was to get my father in law scheduled for a tour and moved in. House keeping is good and people are friendly. Would I recommend to others? Yes I would depending on their needs.

All staff have been attentive and pleasant. The facility is clean and inviting. The staff has answered all of our questions and concerns in a timely manner. The nursing staff keeps close watch on medications and any changes that occur. We have been very pleased with the care and assistance that my father has received.

We were told and paid for two showers a week, for 8 months we had trouble getting her one shower per week sometimes it would stretch to 10 days now we have withheld the fee for the showers hoping to motivate them.

The Brookdale Kenmore community was always very clean and the staff members were just angels, especially the ones who took care for our loved one. While she was a residents the staff always knew what our loved one was up to, they knew her name and were always very communicative with us. They were very very helpful during our difficult time. They had regular activities throughout the entire day and we could see what they had posted up on their calendar. The residents would share with us how wonderful they think the meals were and our loved one never complained. The value was right in line with other communities in the area. Our only complaint was with their billing department - it could definitely use some improvements and organization. We would definitely recommend the Brookdale Kenmore community to other families.

They were very friendly to our loved one, and our family. They were very attentive to my loved ones needs and were always accommodating to family requests /questions. I had to assist residents with various tasks , and I was happy to do so but they need to have staff who are more prevalent, to assist the residents with various tasks in the common lounges .

My father in law has been at Brookdale for almost 3 years and we are thrilled with the care he receives. It was very hard for dad to make this transition as he's always been very independent but Brookdale still offers him the opportunity to stay active. He spends his days going to exercise, playing Bingo and participating in many activities they offer. The staff has been incredibly caring and all of our questions, needs and concerns are addressed in a timely fashion. Dad is able to receive the care he needs while still having the opportunity to socialize. We are very happy with our choice and feel peace of mind knowing dad is being properly cared for!

Brookdale Kenmore was not anywhere near the caliber of the place we chose. The woman we spoke with on the tour made a big deal that I knew the entire facility was private pay and that they had unique clients. It came across as elitist. Everything there is a la carte. You are allowed to pull the emergency cord only so many times a month before you get charged every time thereafter. Cable and Wi-Fi were extra. The facility itself looked okay, but it wasn’t anything that was superior over other places we saw.

June 22, 2022We appreciate you taking the time to visit and are sorry to hear you feel this way. Our staff is committed to providing the highest-quality service and care and we will share your feedback with our management team.
The people that are there are great but they are currently short on staff. They are really short on the weekends due to staffing and the shortage of workers. They have been so kind to me and my loved one and they try to do what they can do with the limited amount of staff that they have. The food is great and everyone is nice here but they do need more staff. The activities are great when they have them. They have painting, workouts, talks, trivia and more for the residents to do. They are doing the best that they can do under the circumstances of not having enough people to work here.
