I left there back on [date removed]. They lie from the start. The room I was supposed to get. I didn't get it. They gave it to someone else. They gave me a room farest, one from the entrance and dining room. No one else wanted that room. The aids told me. Everything they promised was a lie. They told me I would walk three or four times a day. They didn't allow me to walk at all. They said I had to get doctors' permission. When the doctor came a month later. I ask him about walking. He said I didn't need his permission to walk. I have to use a walker to walk with or a wheelchair. I'm a person. I'm only 4 foot 4 inches. They broke my ankle in two places. Young man came got me for dinner. He decided I didn't need the leg rest on my wheelchair. When coming back, I told him to slow down. Then my foot caught the floor pulling my leg underneath the wheelchair braking my right ankle in two places. I flew out of the wheelchair. At first, they admitted it was their fault. Two weeks later, they changed their story and said it my fault. And my insurance will have to be paid for my ankle. Now, I file a lawsuit against them. Shortly after that. [name removed], the director, asked me if I would like to go to [community name removed] nursing home in Ithaca. I told them yes because they have good therapy. They took me right then with some clothes. This was on a Friday. I asked her what about my other stuff. She said they would bring it to me on Monday or Tuesday. I haven't seen it yet. Now she said she never said they would bring it to me. When I first got there. I was warned by other patients at my dinner table. How they lie to you. Also, they don't answer call lights. It takes about a half hour to an hour before they answer them I'm happy here at [community name removed]. The therapy is good. But the food terrible.

I would give a 5 to all of these categories. They were able to provide some furniture he didn't have. They were able to add additional care as his health worsened. They tried to provide fun events. Yes, I would recommend them to others

We have had some bumps along the way with Brookdale Ithaca, but they have bent over backwards to make things work. They have been very engaging with us when applying for VA benefits through Patriots Angels. Based on our experience we would recommend this community to other families.

We had experience with Brookdale when our father moved in about 10 years ago, and our first impression this time around was we noticed some of the same staff members were still there which we appreciated. We think that makes for a good and pleasant atmosphere. Also the apartment are lovely, our loved ones came unfurnished so we were able to bring all of her furniture with.

We had my father in law here of 2 yrs. They have a huge staff turn over (2 head nurses quite during this time), didn't provide Personal care services as charged for, was suppose to give him 3 showers a wk (barely gave 1 if that), his roomed smelled of urine and feces, let his legs got infection ( beyond, where he got Ceptis and was hospitalized). We complained numerous times about the lack of care. Was told they were doing what they where charging and "out of my fathers in laws pride, they couldn't change him often". Attendants (many together) frequently outside smoking or on break. General manager, has very poor management skills and avoids complaint calls and does not return calls from messages left. My father in laws Dr. told us he needed to move him as his care was inadequate, we did this the last time he was hospitalized (Ceptis). Don't waste your time or money on this place.

The facility seemed new, bright, had several indoor and outdoor spaced to commune in. Although it is confined, it didn't seem so and allowed residents to find a quiet space to be alone if they wanted without being confined to their room.

While my loved one was at the Brookdale, they did a good job but it did not work out for him. He is no longer at the Brookdale but we would recommend them to anyone looking.

Mom is currently here and this is where she can not stay as she can't put the oxygen tube in independently. I love this place~

I am very happy with the care that my friend is receiving. There is a wide variety of food. They also try their best to accommodate her with any special needs. It is very well cleaned and up kept. Some of the staff is great others seem grouchy. There is a few people that don't really pay attention to her. I would recommend this community to a friend or family.

We enjoyed a concert at the community as well as mom likes playing bocce ball. The entire staff is wonderful. Patty the Registered nurse even came in and helped with my moms nails. I have eaten there and the food is good and well cooked. There is a nice restaurant atmosphere. I have already recommended this community. I also would recommend A Place for Mom to help in finding a place for your loved one.

It was very clean. We stopped in at dinner time. Anytime anyone attempted to go out the door they were right there. There were all kinds of activities, and very welcoming. It didn't work out for us, we had some extra challenges, but I would recommend it to anyone looking for dementia care.

Very similar to other Clare Bridge communities and they couldn't lock in a price until My parents were there. They have a pay per service policy and they seemed to want to leave it open to more charges.
