Brookdale Fort Smith

Overall, I am pleased with this facility and would recommend it. The staff are friendly and try really hard. Given the nature of the situations with which they deal, it is just difficult. There have been times of confusion and things I thought might have been better handled, but then I wasn't there in the moment and my mother can be uncooperative. I do feel that the housekeeping could be improved in the apartment/room, but the overall facility is kept up nicely. The food quality is probably acceptable, but not outstanding. Some of the trays I have seen sent to the room just didn't look very appealing, but the only major complaint my mother has ever made is about the taste of the eggs. The staff tries to organize special activities for the residents and they do a good job of communication.

My mother is very happy at Brookdale. She is having the best time and enjoys the food. Any concerns we have had have addressed and resolved. As the saying goes “ If mama ain’t happy ain’t nobody happy” well mine is Happy!

Everyone working there seems to be happy to work there and they are caring and thoughtful. The move in process was very smooth and Mom made friends right away. There's a genuine sense of community with staff and residents and we all felt welcome immediately. Food quality and variety are important to the staff and it's easy to offer suggestions and they want feedback. We definitely recommend Brookdale.

I am currently a resident at Brookdale Fort Smith and everything has been great for me at this facility so far. It's a great place that has a great family-feel. The staff is very caring and kind. The housekeeping does a good job. The staff communicates well with my family and I. Also, the meals are good quality. I would recommend Brookdale Fort Smith to family and friends.

[name removed] is the guy who visited with us when we first went to explore the facility. He was really helpful in the entire process. The food has been really good and my mom really likes the size of the rooms. My only hesitation or difficulty has been in the filing of her long-term care insurance. But I think we are close to getting that resolved.

The staff at Claire Bridge is absolutely the best. They are attentive to the needs of the residents. They also have a great communication network the the residents family. The nursing staff and activity director are the best in the the industry.

I think this is a great place for a loved one to live. The community appears to be very safe place. The staff are very friendly. The communication with the family has been really good and they keep us in the loop on any changes of our loved one. There are three meals a day served and the residents have choices to choose from.

I recommend Brookdale all the time to friends. My loved one is very high maintenance and when my loved one needs help, the community is there to assist my loved one every time. I'm very grateful for Brookdale. The staff are very attentive to the family with our questions or concerns. The philosophy of the administrator, what mom does at mom's house, mom gets to da. This was very comforting to me. The apartment, meals transportation to doctor appointments. if my loved one needs assistance the staff are there to assist my loved one and this is all included in the monthly fee. The residents have a bracelet with a call button to request assistance from the staff. There are activities for the residents to choose from if they want to partake in. The community will take the residents to Walmart and other stores. They have good food for my loved one and there are choices for meals.

I went with Brookdale Fort Smith because of the staff members. It is important when you first enter a facility how welcoming the staff are, it will tell you if they like their job and if they are good with people. That is what impressed me about this facility. The room sizes here are ok and I would recommend to others looking.

I would recommend the Brookdale Fort Smith community. The people there are very caring. My mom seems happy. My mom is in one of the larger rooms. I was looking for more care and 24/7 nurse availability and Brookdale Fort Smith has that.

I think Brookdale Fort Smith has done a really great job with my loved one, and we've been very happy. I do think that most communities like this can always improve on their communication, but overall, Brookdale is great. The staff has been really helpful, and I definitely appreciate that they have a great attitude, [Removed] especially. She pushes everyone and expects the best out of all the residents, but she does it with a caring smile. I love that all the personnel, no matter their title drops everything at mealtimes to collect the residents and bring them to the dining room. This ensure that everyone eats and no one misses out on a meal. As far as the food, I see more repeat meals than I'd like, but food is always plentiful. As a community, they really do a great job, and we are very pleased.

My parents' stay at this Brookdale location is going great! The facility is well maintained and the staff are wonderful! There are plenty of healthy meal options, and my parents get plenty of opportunities to be involved in activities. I have no complaints!

My dad is not getting the care that he should. The staff do not seem to be very helpful. They do not offer a lot of activities. They have the same meals everyday and the food is terrible. The community is pretty clean.

My loved one is kept busy throughout the day with the variety of fun activities they have to offer at this community. The most important thing is the staff have went above and beyond to make sure that my mother is feeling safe and comfortable in her new living environment. The dinning room experience is wonderful as well as the delicious food they serve.

Brookdale was not a very good experience for us. Had my dad there for a week & the care they promised for him as an Alzheimer's resident was not as we expected. Laundry laid on the bedroom floor all week, carpet was never vacuumed, crumbs were all around his chair, trash never carried out, ants all over a glass left on a table by his chair, bed only made once, didn't furnish towels & wash cloths for every day use. Of course there was an excuse for everything. Probably a lack of communication between the staff members but we had seen enough!!

It's always clean and there is absolutely no smell. The staff is wonderfully friendly, they are great. The only complaint is how long it takes the food to get to the table. We are very happy with them.

Really good job at assisted living. Once resident needs more help, need to have home health nurses visit. The food is really really very very good. Our resident will not be happy in Long Term care after being at Willowbrook. Great atmosphere.

They are doing a good job. The staff is super friendly. She seems to enjoy the food. They aren't very good with helping her and making sure that she can see her food, as she has vision problems. They were able to work with the VA benefits, which was a big reason I chose them.

i really like Emeritus at Willow Brook . i believe it was the right choice for mom. My concern is it was not clearly explained that the room for mom would be a shared room. While they kept using terms like" she will have her own".... bathroom, sink,refrigerator etc... Then when signing papers I was told the quote was for a shared room. Which in mom's case turned out good but i think that should be very clear and it wasn't. I must commend the staff they are all very personable and friendly to family and resident's. The food seems to be very good. i like the family feel of the whole facility. Overall the experiance has been very good.

They're all very friendly. They all have monitors and have been very prompt with every thing. They had a Christmas Dinner and sometimes have someone playing the piano. The food would be about a four. It's well run, it's clean and friendly and my folks feel secure. This was priced better than others and they have a nurse that's on duty 12 hours a day. They also have different levels of care. And they have different levels of assistance so they can won't have to move again if they need a little more help.
