Brookdale Findlay

All the employees are helpful & really know all the residents & their habits. The pharmacy Remedy forgot to send a maintenance prescription for 3 days. The nurses, aides, & kitchen staff are a 5. They need more variety, less carbs like pasta & breading, and healthier snacks on the snack cart. [name removed] the activities director is awesome! Prices raised 4 months after moving in and I think one outing a month should be free.

My beautiful (92 years of old) mom’s health began failing very quickly (Alzheimer’s and congestive heart failure) forcing my siblings and me to find living arrangements with outstanding professional care. This was incredibly difficult for me because I had promised my mom, I would never put her in a “nursing” home, but we wanted to keep her and my stepdad together. So, we began the search for assisted living facilities in the area. Based off my limited knowledge of assisted living vs nursing homes and all the negative media of nursing homes, I was skeptical to say the least. I wish I had the space to list each staff member by name and what I appreciate about them. The love they have for the residents is evident with every interaction. I was talking with one of them after my mom’s passing expressing the appreciation I had for every staff member and what they did for my mom. She chuckled and said, “We aren’t perfect”. I suppose that is true, but they were perfect for my mom.

My loved one was previously a resident at Brookdale Findlay and his experience at this facility was very positive. They took excellent care of him. Based on our experience, I would definitely recommend Brookdale Findlay to others.

The staff is very helpful, very caring,and make it feel like home for my dad and comforting for my siblings and I too knowing we made the right decision in placing our father at Brookdale. I can walk in here anytime of day and the cleanliness and atmosphere of fun activities and friendship is always present. I couldn't imagine having chosen anywhere else for dad.

The experience I have is Brookdale assistance living is a wonderful place to have your love one live. The facility is very clean, organized, care givers and staff are very friendly, helpful, and they know there job. The apartment is very clean and nicely decorated. So my opinion is I know I don't have to worry about my mom because she is well taken care of. The nurses and staff notified you and keep you updated on any information.

Overall, it has been a good move and my parents are adjusting fine. I'm at peace knowing my parents are being taken care of there, and they have others there to socialize with and not be alone. Based on the experience we have had so far with Brookdale Findlay, we would recommend them to other families.

We love Brookdale Findlay for our Mom, and more importantly, she loves Brookdale, too! Mom has been a resident for a year and a half now so we can review with confidence Their programming and staff are particularly excellent.

Brookdale has been such a blessing and help to me and my mom. They have so many activities for the residents ti keep them busy and active with each other. I don't even know when to call my mom anymore! They take her on outings that are planned and even spontaneous outings to help pick supplies up. They are the only facility that would allow her standard poodle to go with her and live there. I don't have to worry ever because the people that work there are very honest, protective, and compassionate. I am happy about how much my mom is thriving there. It was the best decision I made through this entire very difficult phase in my mom's life.

The staff is very friendly and sincerely care for the residents. The staff is engaged with the family and communication is good. The Activities Director is wonderful. She has many engaging activities planned each week. She also tries to customize things like library books, gardening activities etc based on individual interests. The facility has just been redecorated and it is beautiful and well kept. The move in was a breeze. The facility is one level and there is access through service doors if needed for shorter trips from trailer to the room. The meals are very good and well balanced. They offer plentiful servings. They will take special meal requests as well. Residents are encouraged to dine together at least 2 times each day. Preferably all meals. We are very happy with Brookdale Findlay.

The people are the best here at Brookdale. Caregivers and Residents make it a good place.

The staff are very patient and kind. They made sure to ready the apartment for my loved one and made the transition easy for them. This community is on the smaller side, and I see the Executive Director anytime I visit. She is very easy to talk to and is involved with the residents. The staff communication with the family is outstanding and they are responsive to our questions. There are three meals a day served to the residents and there are choices to choose from. The menus look wonderful, and there are snacks that are available in between the meals. The residents can request meals, the community just asks for a few weeks to get the items available for the meal. There are lots of activities for the residents to participate in as well.

We loved Brookdale. [name removed] was extremely helpful, professional and accommodating. We enjoyed our tour and the wine and cheese event. The entire staff was friendly and the small community felt like family! All the residents were treated with kindness and respect. There were many smiles!!

We had four different facility visits scheduled on a Saturday in March 2022. Brookdale was the first visit on the list. After we finished there, we went to the next facility - it was obvious from the very beginning it would not be a match for our Dad. We ended up skipping the last two visits because we knew Brookdale was the right place for Dad. [name removed] at Brookdale did an amazing job answering all of our questions. She stayed in touch with my from my first online inquiry in Sept/Oct 2021 until our on-site visit in March 2022. She stayed in touch with his skilled care facility to monitor his progress, and visited him there too. [name removed] and the entire staff go above and beyond in all areas.
