My family member whom I entrusted care to Brookdale Belview is not happy. She has seen so many things in her first month of residence. She has been given pills in a wet glass. I myself was on a FaceTime call with her one evening and mentioned she had pulled the emergency pull cord and no one is responding(20 minutes). I had to call the desk and let them know she needed help. Fortunately this time was not a medical emergency. I called the office in the morning and they did resolve the problem(the emergency cord was not operating! She had just moved in and I would have assumed emergency devices would have been tested. She has told me the food is very salty and the menu is not up to the “dining experience “ as was sold to us on our initial visit.I only hope that staff is better trained, and medical professionals are on site. she tells me that the Doctor only comes once a month. We understood there is 24/7 medical staff on site, not true. Very disappointed.

My mother fell her first day there and pressed her button. No one came for 30 minutes as she laid on the floor watching blood drop from her head. She finally called my brother, who called Brookdale to go to her room. She was sent to the hospital and had to get staples in her head and her ear glued. When she got back, I asked if someone could wash her, since she has dried blood on her face, hair, clothes, and said they didn't do showers on weekends, but finally found someone to wash her. She has a bowel accident, but the nurses said that they don't do that, so she day on her own feces for 24 hours. Her PT nurse came and said she needed to leave here immediately as her health was in worse danger being here due to their lack of attention and possibility of infection. When she didn't receive her Parkinson's medicine, she rang her been and no one came. Brookdale says their lack of response was because my mom wasn't using her button correctly, which would also be a huge concern.

Maybe the memory care unit would have been better for my mother but it wasn't suggested. She didn't participate in activities as much as I wanted her too. She did enjoy it when they had entertainment.

This facility doesn’t even deserve 1 star??????. My husband was in the facility for only 3 full days and within that short period of time he became extremely dehydrated and collapsed in the hallway?????? I had just walked in to the facility and looked down the hallway and saw my husband reach for the wall and collapse. What timing!! It was horrible. He was burning up, his shirt was soaked with sweat/he had urinated on himself, his pants were soaked right through/ I was talking to him to let him know I was there for comfort, he was so out of it, he didn’t know I was there. I screamed to call 911!! It took awhile before anyone from Bellevue even came over. He was surrounded only by the residents??????. [name removed] was in the hospital for almost 2 full weeks. When my husband arrived at Bellevue he could walk and feed himself. Afterwards, he had lost 28 pounds and he was so weak he couldn’t do anything on his own. He now needs a 2 person assist. This healthcare system has failed my husband????

So far, so good. They seem to care about their residents. It seemed to be the best fit for my Mom's needs. Location also played a role for us.

If a friend asked me about my experience. I would say that the staff is very friendly. [name removed]was wonderful, giving a thorough tour and providing all the answers to the questions we had. The residence seem to be quite clean as well.I believe this place was picked over others, due to the value. Also our positive experience with todd played a big part in it.

Our experience with Brookdale Bellevue has been positive. When there has been a concern they have called me, which I appreciate. My loved one says that the food is good. The move in process was fine - no problems. There are plenty of activities for the residents to partake in. My only complaint would be with billing. There is no itemization of charges over the basic monthly charge and I would really like to see that. I also wish the rooms were a little larger. Overall, Brookdale Bellevue is a great place and is affordable. I would recommend this facility to others.

What this community could work to improve on to better the experience would be to have cameras in halls and outside. Food is cold usually and not always so good

Our family had an in person tour and we thought the gentlemen who led us around on the tour was very good
This was an okay tour and community. It could use some updating of their public areas.

I think the community needs a little more assistance for the residents. The communication with the staff is fairly good. The residents receive 3 meals a day, with choices to choose from.

Overall, it's been a good experience. They worked really well with us in getting our loved one moved in, including getting his furniture situated. The care seems to be fine, and he doesn't complain about the food.

The staff is very positive, interacts very nice with the residents, and has a lot patience with them. The residents are always nice and clean.
