Bristol Manor of Centralia

I love that it is a very small community more like a home. Each has their own private room and private bath. That's very hard to find.

We chose Bristol Manor of Centralia because it was the only place she was able to get a private room with with a private bathroom. The small number that they have in any of their facilities is very good. The staff are able to give the residents more personalized care and attention. There is no RN on staff, they are all medical techs. Because of the personal care, it has been wonderful. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking.

Our dad came to this facility in October. The current administration and staff have improved this facility immensely. They manage this facility well. Our dad had had several medical issues recently and each time it has been handled well and professionally. The staff really cares about their residents. The rooms are very spacious and well kept. Medicines are given at the right times. They really try to accommodate the residents needs.

My mom really enjoys living here. Her room is spacious, and the deck offers a chance to be in green space. [Name removed], who runs the place, cares for each of the residents. She has begun having people come in to provide residents with music and dancing, which has been a positive experience. Also, [name removed] is a great cook, and my mom is pleased with the variety in the menus.

overall a clean facility. with 12 residents, sometimes overwhelming for 1 staff most of the time food looks delicious. but sometimes too much chili or BBQ for elderly appetites. residents in last month meeting were told they were going through tooooo many eggs, But EGGS are one of the best forms of protein and iron and easily digested. EGGS aren't that expensive. Overall the care is very good. Staff is very competent when medical needs arise and residents need medical attention.

Absolutely love the new administrator. Staff is friendly. Meals are always on time and taste amazing. Meds are given on time and always correct. Housekeeping has greatly improved from old administrator. This has went from feeling like a nursing home to feeling like home.

My family went in to your this facility. The administrator and staff were very friendly, the facility was clean and residents seemed very happy. Administrator was able to answer our questions with ease and put any fears or concerns we had out the door. Unfortunately there were no available rooms at the time of our tour so we are on a waiting list but are excited to get to the top.

Bristol Manor is a great place to live. I have lived here 5months. The staff goes out of the way to please you. The meals are great, on time and hot. They help you with problems that you may have. They are courteous to your family and friends. The place is clean. My son's didn't want me to come to a place like this and I have improved so much. They don't have to worry about me. The administrator is very good at her job, she knows her job and does her job. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Why,because the administrator picks upon changes in her residents. That is a great thing, that's also a good nurse. It is a home not a room. We have entertainment, have movie night with popcorn and soda. Bingo music and school kids that comes in with entertainment. The residents are like a family. To me, this place is home,nice, clean,warm and friendly. I was a charge nurse in a nursing home for 25 years. I know and notice things from the staff and I am quite comfortable and happy.

I have lived at Bristol Manor for 13 months and have to say that it was been an up and down experience. I moved in with a great administrator. She Left and her replacement was terrible Then our manager we have now has turned everything around. I really love living here and plan to stay here as long as I can. Do Not put a love one in this facility. They do not care for them. In fact just flat out lie to you. All they want to do is take their money. There is not activity for them. The whole time my mother was there, she was promised a shower that she could get in and out of and never received it. Was never given a sign in and out sheet. Was told that if she when to the one in Centralia that it would be a month at the most for her to get a spot in Mexico where she is from. And, then to come to find out they where telling several others that when to Centralia the same thing. Just wanted to get the rooms filled and the money. I have called to voice my complains and left message for the owner. Never returned my call and the second time to leave a message was disconnected.

We moved our Mom into Bristol Manor in May 2018, we were promised the same type of care we were providing at home by the Administrator at that time. The care was poor, the housekeeping was not good, the meals were not served at scheduled times and the food quality was poor. My Mom ended up back in the hospital & ER several times due to lack of care & medication issues. In mid-August 2018 New Administration was hired with previous Bristol Manor experience. The new Administration & staff have made extra efforts to ensure that Mom's specific needs are met. They listen to us when we talk to them about Mom. They have also made a large number of improvements to the facility, including the cleanliness. The meal times are now scheduled and a menu is posted daily so the residents know what they can expect. The individual rooms are spacious, w/private bathrooms & large closets. I would NOW recommend this facility to friends & family!

Do not put a loved one in this facility ever! They claim to be assisted living when you sign up-- then once upon admission (when they have your money) they refuse to be of assistance--no help with anything. There is a constant turnover of staff. My Mother saw 5 different Managers in 9 months. The kicked my 92 old Mother out with just 1 and 1/2 hours notice. Claiming she could not get to the bathroom or dinner table. She had been discharged two days earlier from a skilled nursing facility where she walked 150Ft alone! The administrator, [removed], is quite rude and extremely unprofessional.

It was better than the other options we looked at that were comparable in price, I don't really know that much about the activties per se but I wouldn't say they have a wide variety, they have regular activities but I really can't go into detail about them. I think the staff there has been excellent, they've really gone above and beyond in providing service. The facility itself is older and not great, I mean, it's adequate but it's not a great facility, but the care and friendliness of the staff overcomes the deficit. One of the reasons we moved her here was that the food where she was before was terrible but Bristol Manor has really, really good meals. I know the manager on a regular basis goes over to the Amish community to get fresh fruits and vegetables so moms quite happy with the food.
