For more information about senior living options
I am writing this review after my mom has been a resident at Blue Pearl Home Care II for the past 7 years. So I feel I’m giving my option with a good understanding of the home and staff. I was not asked to write this or any review whatsoever, but decided to do do while sitting by my mother’s bedside today during this last phase of hospice care known as palliative sedation. While sitting here I began reflecting back on mom’s life and in particular, her years as a resident here at Blue Pearl. My mom needed assistance with daily living 7 years ago at the age of 85. I initially turned to a commercially run assisted living facility. However, upon my tour and further questioning, I discovered their patient to staff ratio was at times 30 to 1. That’s when decided to look elsewhere and used a placement service to assist me in finding a residential care facility for my mom with more individualized care. The placement service took me to numerous places and I ultimately chose Blue Pearl Home Care II because of the resident to staff ratio, the family atmosphere and the Immediate compassion and concern the Crisostomo’s showed my mom. I just felt at home. Similarly to when you’re hunting to purchase a new house and you walk into the home you know is “the one.” The facility administrators, [name removed] and his wife [name removed], have been very responsive to any concerns I have had over the years. The staff is friendly and attentive to the residents. The home is always, and I mean always, clean. This has been the final chapter in my mom’s life and she felt comfortable here. If you’re reading this I suspect you’re beginning the same journey I took 7 years ago that’s filled with anxiety and uncertainty. Therefore, I hope this review gives you reassurance in making this difficult decision of where to place your elderly mother, father, or spouse. I would definitely consider a tour and let your heart guide you.... Read more

This facility is just wonderful and my Father is just loving it here. The staff and owners are just great and they give my dad the room to express himself. It is a small facility with only 6 residents. The food here is wonderful and they are all home cooked meals prepared by the staff. The serve things like soup, steaks, chicken, and fresh vegetables. Anytime my dad asks for something special, they give it to him. The staff is very devoted to him. I would recommend them to other families.
