It's a wonderful palce, just a little hgiher for my budget now. Except for the location of the apartment, its a long walk to the elevator, I'm not sure who the architect was for this place but they didn't put in enough elevators and there's trains about 100 yards away but you just overlook it. Otherwise the unit is wonderful, deluxe, and theres some other units that are farther away, but this thing is complicated, its not simple. This is 2 or 3 different buildings all joined together. You have to pay an extra 12 dollars for the senior center, which is a nice operation but you need more money, not just to join, but to participate. There's a lot of activiites, most of them don't cost anything extra besides the yearly 12 dollars. Overall its' great, but individually it leave a little bit to be desired.... Read more

Berkshire has offered my mother in law an affordable, safe environment to continue to live independently as a 91 year old. The staff helped to facilitate a quick move to her new apartment when time was a priority during her relocation from another state. The apartment building's proximity to the Oconomowoc Senior Center offers many activities and opportunities to make friendships outside of the apartment building itself. For those who are mobile enough, it is easy to walk to nearby restaurants, shops, library and post office. We have been impressed with the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. Thanks to "A Place for Mom for recommending Berkshire to us.
