I moved my mother to Beit Shalom in December 2017, after deciding that a smaller home would be better for her. I couldn't be happier with my choice! From my first meeting with [names removed], I was impressed by their incredible kindness. My mother previously lived at a large assisted living facility, where they were not providing the agreed upon level of care, and my mother's physical condition had deteriorated markedly. My mother has dementia and severe short term memory loss; she is stubborn and is not always nice. She needs to be managed, including a lot of reminders. I'm very happy with the level of personalized care and attention that my mother receives at Beit Shalom. In the 2-3 months since she moved in, she has gained some weight and is using her walker instead of her wheelchair. They make sure she does her physical therapy exercises every day, that she walks, and that she eats enough. They don't let her sit in her room by herself all day. And they have made it possible for my mother to spend time with her dog, who can no longer live with her since she is unable to independently care for him. For myself, I live out of state, and I need a lot of communication and updates. I'm very happy with the ease and frequency of communication and with Beit Shalom's willingness to meet my needs as well as my mother's. They are owner-operated and family-oriented, so I am not dealing with some marketing representative of some big corporation, and there are no nameless/faceless people caring for my mother. Eilat and Shimmy gave me peace of mind at a time when I really needed it, and they continue to do so every day. You could not find a better place for your loved one.... Read more

This community is great. They have a gentleman that comes around that does music, and do physical therapy if it is ordered by the doctors. Entire staff is very conscientious about what is going on under their roof. The food is good.
