Warm, family environment

The Beehive Home of Gulf Breeze provided mother with unsurpassed familial warmth, care, and comfort during her final “golden months.” Mom anticipated with delight her monthly Beehive respite visits with the kind, delightful staff and residents she bonded with in that serene Gulf Breeze home. She regarded them all as her extended family. Sadly, she passed as we were applying for full time residency. The staff provided me and my daughter [mom’s primary caregiver] with thorough reports on mom’s mood and participation in their activities and trips during her regular visits. Moreover, the staff never hesitated to contact me with their concerns or questions regarding mom’s care. I’ve decided that Beehive Homes of Gulf Breeze will someday be my place of residence because its staff and residents emanate the true Hawaiian “Spirit of Ohana.”... Read more

Electric Wheelchairs Welcome

I like the fact that its low numbers and its my new home away from home. I have made numerous friends. The quick response of the care givers to our needs is a plus. I love the fact that I can have my electric wheelchair and a fridge in my room. I like the cultured entertainment that the Activities Director provides for us.

Clean, welcoming home away from home

The staff of the Beehive goes over and above to take care of their residents. The facility is more like a home, Open and inviting. It’s always clean. They love to take the residents on field trips and do activities with them. I am well pleased with the facility and would recommend it to anyone.

Best Home in Gulf Breeze

We couldn't have asked for a better place for my mom. Everyone was helpful and kind. The facility is very clean and truly feels like home. I wish we would have made the decision to move in sooner! My mother is so happy here.

Continued Care with Respect

I’m grateful for the care both of my parents receive at this home away from home. With the challenges faced by many of us of balancing work, children, and everyday life, Beehive offers a warm atmosphere that meets the basic essentials and then offers a bit more. I’m ever so glad my parents have assistance with the common, every day functions that one person just cannot provide. I breathe easy knowing that the heartfelt care Beehive employees offer is exactly what my parents need.

Beehive is extraordinary

My mother needed a little more care than an independent living or large ALF. But she was no where ready for a nursing home. We found the perfect solution in the Beehive. The staff made sure she looked nice and her hair was “picked” every morning. They assisted with her multiple loads of laundry because of her accidents and their frequency. They never complained about the extra loads of laundry, nor did they make her feel bad for any accidents. She enjoyed time with her new friends. She recently passed, but not because of anything to do with her care. It was just her time. But our family is forever grateful for the love and care she received while she lived at the Beehive in GB.

Mom’s new home!!!

My parent was in need of a new home with supports in place since she was now in a wheelchair for a majority of the day. The staff have been wonderful meeting and exceeding all of her medical requirements. She enjoys her new “Beehive family” . In fact, I was amazed at how much she enjoys her life there. My siblings and I were cautious, wondering what life would be like when the honeymoon was over. Well- mom is happy, healthy and better than ever thanks to the director and her staff at the Beehive of GB. It is family style dining. Mom had that for our family growing up- and she appreciates is during this time of her life too. She likes the food, although sometimes she can get picky- they always accommodate what she is craving or needing. Her meds are regulated. Her wound care kept in check. We couldn’t ask for a better facility for someone who loved us our whole lives!!!

My parent has had a wonderful experience at Beehive of GB. Residents receive extraordinary care. I went on my first vacation in 7 years after mom settled in there. She has friends. She has staff who keep constant communication. She is happy. What more could you ask for!!! All of my siblings and I thrilled she is happy in her home at Beehive

Beehive of GB is excellent

My mother was at a place where all of us siblings were divided. Some felt she could stay at home with a sitter. Others go to an ALF. She moved to Beehive homes of Gulf Breeze. Best decision we made. She was safe and well cared for. Other than a couple complaints that her food had gotten room temp by the time she got it (her own issue...not staff) she truly felt safe, had quality care, and great friendships made with residents and staff. I was there every day. I saw one fall, but not 8 in such a short period of time. And my mom had falls. Her brain felt she could do things she used to while her body had to way of following thru. Falls happen. But staff were to her immediately and handled triage and notifying family n medical staff. I trust them completely. With my mom’s stubbornness, we couldn’t stop falls or almost falls. But we could trust staff would handle it immediately and involve the family. I’m not sure other review is true or completely true. But if you stop at Beehive, you see an amazing family type atmosphere that they care for each other and when residents cry, staff cry. I couldn’t ask for a more loving, dedicated, awesome care facility to have as my mom’s home that’s not her home.

Great Family away from family!!!

My siblings and I made the decision that even with help in the home, she needed more care. We found this gem called Beehive Homes of Gulf Breeze. The staff are great. They try so hard to immediately answer call lights and handle toileting incidents to provide dignity. Mfood is pretty great. Activities sometimes falter because of things going on (emergencies) in the building. The place is clean and friendly. Staff do special things for residents. Family is always meant to be welcome. They have places families can hang out, play cards, or share a meal with loved ones in the facility. It is a great place if you want a family atmosphere. That was what our family would know was best for our mom. She had joy again in her life!!!
