Beechwood Adult Foster Care

She wants residents who either just sits in their small, shared room or is gone alot. Food quality and nutrition is very poor. There is no participation, no place to mingle and no warmth. She wants you to take the resident on the weekends - "to give HER a break!!" We have to buy and bring anything healthy to eat, carrots, juice, all fruits and vegetables - anything fresh, it is ridiculous! Don't go, she is just another AFC home that's in it for the money. Unfortunately, sometimes you just have to find a home with an opening and settle for what's available. [removed] Now she has another job and her mother is supposed to run the home? We couldn't wait to get our loved one out of there. She is also very rude to the case workers, that's more than one! We have experienced several AFC homes through the years and it's so sad that there are not more experienced and homey AFC homes for our loved ones to live a fulfilled and dignified life.

A ranch home that has been lightly remodeled to hold four private rooms for seniors. Not fancy, but definitely homelike. Residents are very frail, and owner keeps them comfortable, prepares all meals and oversees the medications. The residents can keep their own food in the refrigerator, but only the owner has access (keeping others from accessing the food by mistake!). However, no private or smaller space for residents - a shared living room.
