We were referred to Becerra Home Care by A Place for Mom when we were searching for a home for my 90 year old mother-in-law who has beginning stages of dementia. We visited several Assisted Living Facilities and Care Homes. We were looking for a place that would feel like home and not be so large that she would be just one of many. In our search we were impressed by Dina, the owner, and her caregivers. Their interaction with their residents appeared kind, caring and gentle. The facility is a beautiful, clean, cheerful home with six private bedrooms, a large living room, dining room, beautiful kitchen, and lovely patio/garden area. They only accept women residents, which we knew would be more comfortable for my mother-in-law. My mother-in-law has just been there a few days, but she seems to be settling in very nicely. Although it is a hard transition to go from being independent and living alone, she now has companionship, regular meals, help bathing/dressing, etc., and we have peace of mind. We were correct in our first assessment of Dina and her caregivers; they do a wonderful job. We believe we made a great choice.... Read more
