I would not recommend them to anyone. They are a glorified babysitting facility. The majority of the staff do not just leave the patients alone and they sit in front of the tv. Also, I don't think anyone there knows how to do CPR. [name removed], she became the director while[name removed] was there. She tried to make things better but the person who ran the business did not put forth any funding to improve it.

We were not pleased with what we saw here. The place was small and closed-in. One of the first things they told us was that we would have to schedule all of our visits in advance and tell them the day before that we were coming. We saw that as a big red flag, so we weren't interested in going forward.
The staff is very friendly and helpful and the value is not bad. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

The community isn't perfect, but it is pretty darn good. I am totally convinced that the attendants are devoted to the residents. They seem to care. The community allows my loved one to request food, and they will fulfill this request when possible. They seem to be responsive to requests. There is a new owner within the last 2 months. There is a maximum of 7 residents allowed in this community.

I am so happy we moved my mom to Collinfield House. The staff is fantastic! The community and staff has taken such a load off my shoulders. They care about me and my mom and what happens to the family. The ownership recently changed hands and has only gotten better. The previous owner was equally as awesome. It is a home-like environment and only has 8 residents.

In general, I have been quite pleased with Collinfield House. The staff is caring and willing to do whatever they can to make my husband comfortable. He is not easy to care for, and they have been patient with him when he is having a bad day. He is kept clean and they make a definite effort to try to please him with food. I feel good about my decision to place him there. I am able to see him daily. Staff is friendly and courteous and always welcoming. [Name removed], the owner has been very helpful and has been responsive to the concerns that I have had. I definietly do recommend Collinfield House for your loved one.

Collinfield House was fabulous. I wish I had made that decision to place my mother there soon. They were absolutely wonderful.

My mother was in her 90s when she moved to Collinfield house - a warm, clean and welcoming environment. Staff treated the residents as individuals, making a place for them at the family table, folding clothes together and recognizing and talking to them if they members of their own family. It felt like a new "home" rather than an institution. It was a place where they were attentive to her physical, social and emotional well being.

The Director was wonderful we both really hit it off. She provided me house call dr. info. The home was great!! beauiful, clean and inviting. Questioned the surrounding neighborhood other side on Lamar and directly north of Rundberg. She said house was safe and very secure.

A Place for Mom has scored Austin Senior Gardens Senior Living 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
