Attivo Trail Waukee

Retiring and moving halfway across the United States was not an easy move, but once here at Attivo Trail life fell into place. The staff is very attentive and responsive to questions and concerns. The facility is beautiful and well-maintained. Where it’s located is so convenient to Grocery stores and other places such as restaurants, etc.

Finding Attivo Trail was the best thing. The only complaint is the way they treat the pet dogs. They used to let them walk in the courtyard as long as their messes are cleaned. Now they have to go outside their building and go around in their building.

Attentive staff, many fun activities, friendly neighbors! Apartment sizes vary. Mine is a 2 bedroom,2 bathroom. Washer and dryer are included. Plenty of room!

This is not a facility that includes full service. We live in apartments. No one provides meals. There is no services provided. We rent our apartment and take care of ourselves. There is no assisted living provided.

Every category gets a 5! (minus the food, there is no food provided here so no rating). The staff are very efficient and helpful. There are many apartment sizes to choose from. Also many amenities offered. I would recommend Attivo Trail to others looking for retirement living.

It offers activities and one needs to get involved to meet people otherwise you won't have a chance to meet others. Love it here! I picked this community, because of the apartment layouts and amenities.

My husband and I are residents at Attivo Trail. This is an active community of 55+. There is no Assisted Living. No housekeeping service or meals and dining. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. We do have people who use wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, and canes but they're able to enjoy the activities that are offered. There are many activities and when my husband, who is in a wheelchair, feels more comfortable, we will join in them. I like being able to cook his favorite meals. We like it here and plan on staying here for as long as we can. The rent is very reasonable.

My son and his wife found this place. I moved in sight unseen. But love it. Only one person on staff is not well liked but the others are great. There are several activities to choose from. You can stay as busy or active as you choose. House keeping is not provided but they pick up trash 3 days a week. The building is kept clean and nice looking. The rent is reasonable also. I would recommend them to others.

Residents are not treated all the same. The smell of cigarette smoke is an issue frequently, and repeatedly nothing is done to those who don't follow "rental agreement" rules. Some residents are told by MGMT & Maintenance there is no time for them to hang mirrors, change where towel bars are, etc. Yet other residents get these services done by Maintenance for free or a small fee. Parking/Garage spaces - residents are "not treated fairly with parking spaces/garages. . . . some have 2 or 3, others are told "no", when they inquire or ask. No parking spaces for elderly visitors or those w/babies. . . while some get parking spots on wkends right in front of the building. All w/no explanation or help from Mgmt. When asked why the difference in rent increase of same size apts, only told "depends on the Market". . . No further discussion/explanation is given., and then staff avoids any contact w/residents who try to get an explanation.

It has been very easy for me to integrate into the community. Very friendly residents and everyone is supportive of each other. They have a lot of activities, some are Attivo lead and some resident lead. They have things like concerts, crafts, card games, etc. I would definitely recommend to others looking

They do have activities going on, but i do think they could be improved and incorporate more things our loved one likes to do. However, we would still recommend the Attivo trail community to theres.
