Great recommendation. Unfortunately, my Mom was only there for 5 days, so she did not really use food and activities. She was very well taken care of. Even though the facility is older, it is very clean and well maintained. The staff, from director to nursing to admin and support seem to be one happy family caring for the residents. Some residents, I learned, have been there for many years.... Read more

I have not seen a single thing that they can do to improve. They have done everything exceptionally well. They have really made my dad feel comfortable and at home and involved with everything that goes on. They have really made is stay worth the price and then some. Years ago I helped set up assisted living facilities, and Atria Weston Place is the best, bar none.

I give it an A+ all the way around. They have totally lived up to everything they said they would. It's clean, it's a good value. She is happy there. The food is good, our family eats there all the time, and they have a restaurant style menu, so there are choices. If I have any questions they are quick to respond. We liked that everyone there is job specific, if someone calls out sick, they don't just grab the laundry person to cover for the chef, and nowhere else has done that. She is very happy with the laundry, and she is really particular about it. They made sure that mom got engaged in the activities. We would highly recommend them. It's not the newest building but it's great. Josh, the director has been awesome too. I can't say enough about how great they have been.

They've done an excellent job at Atria Weston Place so far! The people here are all very friendly, and the facility itself is clean and attractive. The staff are wonderful, and take great care of the residents. The amenities they offer are also very nice, they have plenty of activities going on, and the meals are very good!

I toured this place amongst 7 other places. I really liked the high energy atmosphere and the social interaction. They have an ice cream area where residents can get ice cream at almost any time. The staff was great. They knew the names and spoke to each resident. They seemed to be very patient and good with the residents. The cost was the highest of all the places I looked at ($175/day). They did not accept my father because he was an exit seeker and they were afraid he would be trying to exit out the emergency door. I was taken aback by this because I had explained with great detail the situation with my Dad. This is the very reason he needed memory care instead of assisted living. I'm not sure they should be called memory care if they are not equipped nor can handle these type of things. After all isn't that what memory care is for???

Response from Atria Weston Place
September 5, 2014Thank you for visiting and taking the time review our community. It is unfortunate when a potential resident’s needs exceed the services we can offer safely and I apologize for your disappointment. If we can be of further service to you and your family, please reach out via [removed], including “Atria Weston Place” in your subject line so we may quickly include the appropriate people who can help. We wish you the best.
After visiting several assisted living facilities it was determined that Atria Weston Place was the "best fit" for our 93 year-old mother. The location is very convenient for family and friends to visit. Thank you for the referral

Dinah was wonderful. Extremely helpful and caring. We were very comfortable with the care we felt we would receive there, but my Mom selected another facility due to the look/decor (newer, brighter).

We toured this location when we were looking into care options for our loved one. This was a very nice looking facility, and all the staff we met were friendly and helpful. However, the memory care here seemed more like an addition, and we really wanted somewhere where the memory and dementia care unit were the main focus.

The room was very nice, and the people were really nice. It seemed like a nice place to be, the food was good, and the nurses that worked with him were good. For most families this would be a really good place to go. Just make sure the care level is a good fit. We had health issues when he moved in, that were missed when they evaluated him. When we had some of our problems they went to bat for us and made contacts around town, and kind of went out of their way for us. I think most families would find it is a nice place, a clean place. From the interactions I saw the people all seem to be happy. The food was good, I spoke with the chef there and he seemed to be on top of things. They went way out of their way to try to accommodate him. They had a little Gazebo where people could sit and have snacks and things, I really liked that. Their evaluation process needs to be re-thought. The nurse that evaluated him said that he was a good fit, that was not the case and we were charged for the minimal amount of time he was there, which was unfortunate.

I thought this was a nice place. The location of it (how close it was to me) was a big factor in my decision. It was around the same price as the others I was looking at and seemed to have the same services. I was clean and everyone was really nice but it was farther away.

In their lock down facility the people were happy, the rooms were quite small and the facility seemed quite crowded actually, but both the staff and the patients there seemed happy and friendly. In the other lockdown facilities we looked at, the people sat in chairs and looked at the floor, here, this was not the case. There were all sorts of people chattering back and forth and they also thought he would be fine in their assisted living. It was just a matter of not wanting to move him from where he already was because we thought it would be too traumatic.

Staff is wonderful, there are some very warm and loving employees in the memory care unit. Although the facility is older than others it is very clean. Management is involved and concerned about the people who reside there. I felt when we selected this facility it was the best overall in the Knoxville area, and I still feel that way.

We liked that quite a bit except the place is just so hot. It seemed like every room we went in was just hot. Everybody there seemed to be so nice. That was our second favorite of the four we saw.

I can't think of people better versed in explaining, describing all their facility had to offer. We decide that we were not ready yet for assisted living. The tour was excellent.

This is a "flashy" establishment with a lot of amenities and pluses offered, but we're unsure how much of that we actually NEED at this time.

A Place for Mom has scored Atria Weston Place 9.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
