My mother likes that she can plant flowers and bushes in the side gardens. She likes her apartment overall. Here are the things that need improvement: There is no security. Residents forget sometimes to close the exit doors at night and there are no cameras or security to make sure people are safe. Food is a big issue. Five or six new chefs within about 4 months. Many days all they get are sandwiches and fruit. Sometimes served on paper plates even with plastic silverware. High turnover on staff and many residents have heard the current manager yelling at the staff. Her cleaning lady often does not come for 3 or 4 weeks at a time. Overall would recommend for fully functioning adults. I would not recommend it for anyone trying to put their family member there who are in the beginning of stages of dementia. They can walk out the doors at night and with no security would not be able to get back in.... Read more

Please do not trust this facility. Their nursing staff visited my dad in hospital and told him they could “meet him where he is.” Based on this assessment, I put down a substantial amount of money including a deposit and first month’s rent. When I notified the hospital of my father’s post-discharge plans, the hospital assured me his condition was far too complex to be handled at Asher Point ([facility removed]). They also mentioned this facility has a reputation for taking patients that require care beyond what the facility can provide. Within 24 hours of my payment, I texted [name removed] and notified her that my dad would no longer go to the facility as the hospital had advised against this. She assured me that I would receive my payment back, but it has now been over 5 months and I still have no received any payment or communication. It’s egregious that they took thousands of dollars from my parents at a time he needed those funds for critical care.

August 22, 2024Hi Cathy! We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review of Asher Point Independent Living of Tulsa. As we operate by a resident-first philosophy, input like yours helps us to improve. At our community, we take resident care and experience very seriously. For us to learn and grow, we always welcome feedback from prospective and current residents and their families. Folks this is NOT the place for your parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. In my visiting experience, the food was served cold, food served on paper plates, or food served that was not on the menu. Additionally, it was brought to our family’s attention by several residents, including our loved one, that housekeeping was NOT provided for 3-weeks in July 2024. The director did not produce housekeepings logs when requested so this validated. Additionally, there is a resident presently with bed bugs in their room. The director claims it was resolved, however, this is not true either. Again confirmed by our loved one and residents. They do NOT supervise the residents for personal care (required for resident assisted independent living) on a daily basis and do not have anyone there around the clock. This place is living health hazard. The director can’t be trusted to look out for your seniors. Unless you want a welcome to the hotel California reality- move on to the better.

The facility is really nice. The food is great!. The care is better recently. The place is divided into three parts. The facility, the personal care and then the rehab part. That makes things a little complicated, and probably why communication isn’t as good as it should be

If you are able to do everything for yourself & you have family to help then it's a good place but if you may need help not so good ! Better than a lot of places so it's okay.

I would say the food is not so good. Staff is okay but better communication is needed. I would say visit at least 3 times, morning afternoon and evening.

Staff is friendly and helpful. [name removed] the manager is great. Would like to see more activities especially ones that take the residents off campus. Campus is clean and overall well taken care of. Food is ok.

The staff is courteous, attentive, and eager to please. The housekeeping is friendly, thorough, and consistent. Management is professional, caring, and responsive - communicating with residents, as well as family. The move-in process was smooth, with management providing any requested aid. They always offer choices in meals. There is a main dish, salad, soup, and dessert. If you don't want the main dish, you can always have a sandwich or chef's salad. The meals are good quality. All utilities are included - even cable tv. They also include an emergency response device for the resident. I highly recommend Prairie Rose!

The facility is quite nice but pricey. This is the fourth senior citizen living complex that my mother has been living in. It is the most expensive and they do the least for the residents. The activities are minimal and the lights in the commons areas are turned off about 7:30 pm. There is no one at the front desk after this time. The food and service at meal times has been severely lacking until just recently. I keep food items my mother likes in her apartment for her to have when she is disappointed with the meals offered in the dining area. The apartments are quite nice. My mother has a very nice living area. Her bedroom is small and the bathroom is a good size for someone using a walker. The kitchen area includes a full size refrigerator, sink and a few cabinets. Mom has her own microwave and a cart for it to be placed on as the counter top does not have enough space for kitchen items such as microwave.

While beautiful from the outside and the apartments are nice, that is the most positive comments I can make about Prairie Rose. This is the fourth place like this my mother has lived in. It is the most expensive and they do the least for the residents. Activities are very minimal. The food is the least appetizing of all four places. Lobby lights are turned off early and no one is at the front desk during the night. It seems like there is little security, but I don't the details of the security. There is a button by the front entrance should you need to access your loved one through the night if necessary.

June 30, 2023We are thrilled to have you as part of the Holiday by Atria family! Thank you for sharing your kind words with us. It means the world to us and to our team!

Prairie Rose, when I took the tour, I smelled cigarette smoke and the person who gave me the tour said they were addressing with the family, but it turned me off, plus the facility needed much updating. Those were the main reasons we did not choose this facility.
I would recommend this facility to family and friends with a warning about the food. I realize it's difficult to please everyone, but the food seemed much better during our earlier visits. I know that it's a big challenge to keep good staff.

They helped me get my loved one on hospice and were and are always there for any kind of help that we may need. They staff always go out of their way. I would definitely recommend Prairie Rose to other families looking. They have been great.
Our family had an in person tour and from everything we saw and the different staff we spoke with, we thought it was a good tour experience.
I can't think of any improvements at this time. My loved one is comfortable there. The staff is very accommodating and eager to do what it takes to make the residents happy. So I'm pleased! I just think that Prarie Rose ended up being the perfect fit for my loved one. The staff, the cleanliness, the food, their attention to detail are what makes them stand out. Plus, my loved one is doing better than I expected. Overall, I think it was the right decision to have my loved one there.
