I would tell them not to go here. The community is liars. They don't speak the truth. The community told me one thing and then another thing happened. My loved one is a wonderer, and the community stated the community was secure. They allowed me to speak to the nurse on staff to give me reassurance on my concerns, and that it would be fine for my loved one. My loved one was able to leave the community on three different occasions. The police had to be called three different times to find my loved one.

April 28, 2021Hi there, thank you for taking the time to rate and review our community. We appreciate you sharing this feedback, as we are always looking for ways to improve for our residents and associates. Eastdale Estates was her only option but it has been a good experience so far. I was nervous putting her someplace but she has made friends with people who have similar care needs and that has really helped her spirits a lot. The meals here are chef prepared, he has been here for years and she enjoys the meals. A couple if the things have not been happy with communication, I called corporate and they forwarded my concerns to the facility which I had already talked to. Also they know our situation and they increased her rent without notifying me. Overall I would recommend them to others looking.

I would recommend you look elsewhere. My room hasn't been cleaned in a month. They can't keep good people, the bookkeeper just quit after about two months. With all these changes it has to be management. It seems like the staff are leaving quickly. The food is atrocious . If I didn't purchase my own food, I would go hungry. The beef is pink in the middle. The tuna fish salad is awful. The food quality has dropped drastically. If I could move I would move. The chicken salad was like room temperature. The items I ate for lunch has made me nauseated. I know the chef is doing the best he can do. I don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth here. The community provides towels and wash clothes are no longer pick these up for me. I wish the community would change the quality of food. I think they need a new manager of the community.

We chose this community because it was in a better location and it was independent living. The apartment that she is in is the smallest one, and it is really all she needs. They offer different sizes as well. The best part about the facility is the food. It is not just cafeteria food, it is chef prepared meals. We ate with her before COVID and it was very good and fresh, it impressed us quite a bit. I also love that she is able to interact with residents who are like her and she has made friends. I would recommend.

The staff seem to genuinely care for and know each resident and their needs pretty well. It is amazing to me how the managers and staff keep the residents and their families all straight. The chef has done a tremendous job in consistently providing safe nourishing meals and making special requests when possible. The only reason for not having 5 stars is I do think the place could use a little facelift and offer a few new activities once the virus has passed. Suggestions would be small gardening projects ( like repotting plants), small dog visitors ( dog therapy), and inviting volunteers to play instruments in the lobby before or after meals.

I’m very happy with how well the staff have managed to keep consistent safety measures in place during this pandemic. It changed so much about the residents’ daily routines, and staff seem to be doing the best they can. One issue worth mentioning is that the weekly apt cleaning was dropped to biweekly. That’s not often enough, especially for elderly people. Lots of accidents happen often. There has been a noticeable odor in the hallways coming from some rooms. I recommend either hiring more staff and go back to a weekly schedule, or drop the rent as residents are paying the same for fewer contracted services. They may need that money to pay for home health services to maintain cleanliness and sanitation.

This place is suppose to serve three balanced meals. The food is bad, bad, bad. Tiny servings and if you want to be malnourished go there. Complaints have been made to the director with no avail. Corporate office, well, you can not find there phone number. These people are suffering, please if someone is reading this that can help please do so. I consider this an emergency.

I came for a event and the activity lady was amazing along with the General manager making me feel welcome like family. The place was clean and everyone was happy. I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone looking for a home feel rather than a institution. The food was great.

I had recently taken a tour of this community for my loved one and I have no complaints of how things had went. It was actually one of our favorite places that we had looked at in the area. The property was beautiful and they had a lot of great amenities available to all of the residents. I would have loved for my mother to live here but it was just out of our budget in the end decision.

This is a really nice community. The rooms here are a little larger than at the community we chose. The people we met were nice. This community was just a little to expensive for us.

My mother is doing as well as can be expected here at this community. They are trying their best to make her comfortable, and helping her adjust to the community. I know she is in in a good place. She is safe and being cared for well.

The wifi could improve. It's not strong enough for the rooms and you have to go down the hallway for it to work.

I have lived at Eastdale Estates since December 16, 2014. For the most part, my experience has been pleasant and I am content! The management teams are 24/7, are friendly, helpful, and willing to help. I at a time when the Activity Leader was off work due to illness and remains off. A few weeks ago we got a temporary activities leader for the interim. Also, since last month, there has been a vacancy for a primary management team - ongoing. I hope that once the facility has filled these positions there will be less chaos and more cohesiveness. There have been rumors of a buyout! There are some seniors who should be in an assisted living and not here (personal opinion)! I would recommend Eastdale Estates to anyone interested in a Senior Independent Living facility!

My mother lives here and this has brought great peace of mind to our family. Everyone is warm and friendly, the place is well kept, they have carpet cleaners that come once a year, they always plant new flowers and lots of staff to take care of details.

They are really good about getting to know everybody (clients and family) and are very friendly. It did take about 6 weeks to get the cable worked out, and I ended up having to contact the cable provider myself. We still haven't worked out the wifi situation (my dad is pretty technical for an older guy and wants wifi). The food is either really good or really bad. Simple foods like chicken are ok, but Mexican dinners, chili, Reuben sandwiches, etc., are not that good. I wish the cleaning of his room was a little more thorough.

The staff is very friendly, they have been really good, and very easy to work with. The food itself is okay, the food service is not consistent, there should be four or five things on the plate or pudding with it, and something will get left off, and it's a continual problem. In the hallways, the people in their rooms are allowed to smoke and it seeps out into the hallways and smells like smoke. We chose them because they were able to take both parents even when one having dementia.
