Arbor Court Retirement Community at Alvamar

I would give Arbor Court a 5 for all. What our family likes the most about the community is the friendliness of the staff... and lots of activities. Parking is a benefit too. Since my sis has a walker, everything is close enough she can get around.

I cannot say enough about the wonderful experience my mother had living at Arbor Court. [name removed]and [name removed]are the most professional and caring administrators one could meet. My mother lived on her own for over 40 years and we were concerned that she might have difficulty fitting in and adjusting to the lifestyle there. Instead my mother blossomed. She began eating again, making friends and enjoying all the trips and events that were planned. The maintenance staff does a fantastic job listening to the needs of the residents and making sure that everyone is safe and adding whatever is needed to make their apartments feeling like their "new" homes. The level of daily concern and interaction among all the staff is also amazing. Residents enjoy an independent lifestyle in a facility that looks after them much better than any assisted living facility we visited. The staff tailors care to each individual resident. Again, a fabulous place that my family highly recommends!

My mom has been at Arbor Court for more than six-months. She enjoys so many things about Arbor Court. It is a clean facility with a lot of natural light in the common areas. She enjoys the meals and does not like to miss them, ever! The icing on the cake is the staff. They are all very caring and supportive They are quick to let us know if they notice anything that might be a concern. I have recommended Arbor Court to many of my friends looking for a place for a loved one to live.

The staff is outstanding - caring, involved, and devoted. The apartment sizes are reasonable and common areas are ample. Communication about the past year of difficulties (Covid) has been terrific. I wish the food had more vegetarian options and fresh foods.

We chose Arbor Court because of the value for the money. The apartment sizes at the facility are really good. I would recommend to others looking.

My 95 year-old father moved to Arbor Court in [date removed]. I cannot say enough good things about the facility, staff, and community. My father was very demanding and after a period of adjustment, aided by the staff and community, adapted to his new home. Because of the pandemic, many social activities had to be halted or greatly altered, but the staff did all that they could to offer what could be done to. encourage social interactions. My father liked the food, especially the breakfasts and desserts. As my father declined, I was able to layer health services which allowed him to live somewhat independently until his passing.

Amazing senior living retirement community! Beautiful setting and great services. The staff is exceptional! Everyone is so helpful and kind. My mother lived there for 10 months before passing, but loved every minute. Facility provides on-site activities, outings, movie nights and Bingo to name a few. This is the place I want to live when that time comes. The staff really cares about your loved ones well-being. Couldn't have asked for a better place for mom to live. When seeking out a senior living apartment for my uncle I had specific requirements and expectations to meet his needs. Arbor Court met all of those needs and expectations and then some. The staff takes great pride in keeping the facility in top-notch condition and they offer a wide variety of social programs from which to choose. My uncle's favorite part of the experience though is the food. Very rarely is there a menu item that he does not like or is not up to standards. It also gives us great peace of mind to have staff onsite 24/7 for emergencies.

My mom lived in Arbor Court for several months before her unexpected death in February 2019. She really liked living there. The facility is nice - - clean, bright, and well-appointed, without being too fancy. The apartments are good-sized and well laid-out, the food is good, and the residents and staff are nice and caring. Mom liked that she could participate in the activities she was interested in, but didn't feel pressure to do more. She was able to live the life she wanted, while living in a supportive community that took some of the weight of cooking and cleaning off her shoulders.

Arbor Court Retirement Community is a hidden jem. The facilities are beautiful , the residents are wonderful! The staff is so caring. This is the place I will move my parents to someday!

Recently I had to find a place for my mother and my sister to live. I did a good amount of research and toured many facilities. Many seemed very cold and clinical. The opposite experience was Arbor Court. Warm and inviting with lots of natural light. No long dark hallways here! The decision was pretty easy. Mom and my Sister have been there for 7 months now and it just keeps getting better for them. They love the activities and most of all the friendly staff and people. As for me I have been particularly impressed with how helpful and friendly the staff is. You can tell this is not just a job for them. They are professionals that love their job and genuinely care for their community. That means a lot to a son who loves his mom and sister.

Home like atmosphere. All the apartments have a front window which looks out into the common areas plus a bedroom window. Full size appliances kitchen - range, frig, dishwasher. Are willing to work with vegetarian diets. The residents we spoke with really enjoy living at this place.

My Mom was not convinced at all about moving from her home of 38 years. She agreed to come visit Arbor Court after hearing how impressed we were with the facility. Mom was also so impressed that she put her deposit down that day! Although she has only been there close to 4 months, we have seen what a quality facility this is. She has had some difficult unexpected health issues, and everyone has been so helpful and concerned and have done what they can do to help her out. The building is very pleasant, the room are very spacious and they even have a nice storage space for overflow items in the lower level of the building. It is nicely landscaped for outside sitting and many areas for group activities. The chef has a very difficult job of cooking for many types of diets and really tries to accommodate everyone. Mom is very happy at Arbor Court.

I was concerned about how my mom would adapt after living in her own home for many years. She loves it. The staff is wonderful. They made her feel loved and welcomed from the start. It has always been very clean. Her apartment is just what she needs with lots of storage space. The food is good. They encourage socialization with nice lounge areas and plenty of activities to keep them busy. My mom enjoys the Bingo 3x a week. She also enjoys walking for exercise inside around the upstairs balcony. She feels safe and knows help is nearby should she need it. They plan nice trips and there is not reason to be bored or alone unless she chooses. She is happy and we are happy knowing she is in a safe environment.

My mom has been at Arbor Court for over a year and it has exceeded our expectations. We were concerned since she had been in her own home for many years but she adapted very easily. How could she not??? The staff is great- very caring & loving and made her feel right at home. Any questions or problems are taken care of right away. It is very clean and well maintained. Her apartment is nice. The food is good. She loves being able to safely walk inside around the upstairs balcony for exercise without fear of falling and no one being near to help her. They encourage socialization with their pleasant lounges and activities including several outings each month. She really enjoys the Bingo 3x a week. She has everything she needs here and and we have the ease of mind knowing that help is just a button click away if she needs it and that she is happy.

This is a wonderful place with a caring fun staff. My mother fell in love with it the 2nd day she was there. After 62 years in the same home she was quickly calling it home. The rooms are big with full kitchens. She has the largest of the one bedrooms. The meals are very good with huge portions and options if you don't care for the main course. Plenty of activities and things to for those who are more social or peace and quiet for those who aren't. It is also kept very clean and well maintained. We would highly recommend Arbor Court.

An amazing facility! Great value, great staff, very welcoming to all ages and stages of life. Well maintained physical plant except for the parking lot. Apartments are spacious and have nice large windows. Food is good and more than enough for most seniors.
