My Dad has been in An Angels Touch just a few days but all of our family have fallen in love with his new home. And a home it is. Dad has his own chair in the living room and his own bedroom, for now. He is free to wander about the house day and night. The current residents are a joy to visit with. With nursines in staff and very caring care givers I couldn't be more pleased. If you are looking for a more home like setting for your elderly parent, I highly recommend looking I to residential home care.... Read more

I liked the cozy home environment and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a nice backyard area for sitting, gardening or walking. Residents seemed comfortable and happy. Downside: shared rooms, no pets.

We had a very bad experience with this community and would not recommend it. They really let us down. When we were speaking with them initially we were very upfront about his needs, and his problems with combativeness. They assured us that as long as he could walk in to the facility they'd be able to take care of him until the end. After only a few days they told us that he was not appropriate for the community and we'd need to find him another place. There were major issues with the care as well. They had trouble feeding him, and after a while I don't even know if they were putting much effort into it. At one point we discovered him laying in his room so dehydrated that we had to take him to the hospital. In general the staff just didn't seem to interact much with the residents. They would get them out of bed, feed them, and then leave them sitting in chairs all day.

The care they provide here is a 5+ they are really great. We looked at several other communities and had previous experience with others as well so we had a lot to compare it to and An Angel's Touch is really the best. Our loved one is happy here and they seem to have the sparkle in their eyes again. They have really been able to provide our loved one with a purpose; they allow the residents to help around the community by giving them little jobs here and there. The residents are not forced to do the jobs but allow them to do them if they chose to. The community is really small so it allows for plenty of one on one care; there is only about 8 residents. Bonnie here is wonderful. Amy Robins from A Place for Mom was just great. She listened to what we needed and was able to provide great service. We could not ask for anything better then An Angel's Touch we would highly recommend it.
