The staff is amazing. They treat my father as if he was their father. They're calm and patient. They realize and catch things. It was very quick getting my father in there, which was appreciated. I would recommend the facility very highly. I just wish it was cheaper.... Read more

A Place for Mom has scored Alcoeur Gardens at Aberdeen with 7.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score based on 3 reviews in the last 2 years. Over all time, Alcoeur Gardens at Aberdeen has 3 reviews with an average "overall experience" of 3.7 out of 5.
The owner will tell you anything and everything you want to get paid. She talks a good game but truth is, you will see her (maybe) for your tour and payment and after that she barely shows her face in the building. The food is “home cooked” which means it’s most likely coming out of a can or box. For [fee removed] a month your loved one certainly is not getting the care they deserve. Shared bathrooms/ rooms are disgustingly dirty. Staff only changes sheets 1x per week. Staff shares grooming products between residents and NO ONE gets oral care. There is about 2 aides that work there that actually go above and beyond for the care of residents and they sadly are unappreciated. The activity ladies are amazing though, I must say.. they don’t get enough credit for what they do. They are the ones who interact most with the residents each day. Overall I would suggest saving your loved ones or you own hard earned money for somewhere they will actually get the care they deserve.

Alcoeur Gardens in Aberdeen is absolutely amazing. They treat your parents like they would treat their grandparents. I couldn't ask for a better place for my dad. They go above what you would expect of a place that takes care of people with dementia and Alzheimer's. They do crafts. They watch TV. They really go the above and beyond. I'm so happy that A Place for Mom had me look at them.

A Place for Mom has scored Alcoeur Gardens at Aberdeen 7.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
