It's a comfortable, safe place and the people there were very nice and friendly. The apartments are not much for the high rent they charge. Yes I would recommend it, it is probably the lowest priced independent senior living complex in the boise area. But the person should know beforehand that the apartments do not have central ac and heating. The heaters are baseboard so furniture placement is limited and the apartments have a single window ac unit that is horribly loud and it only cools the kitchen and living room. I had to buy a small air conditioner for the bedroom. The window ac unit in the living room was so loud that I could not hear the tv over it unless the volume was turned up and you can't turn up the tv volume because it will bother the neighbors. And I still have good hearing so that was annoying. It's a lot of rent to pay for a lousy window ac unit when it's 105 outside and it doesn't cool the bedroom. Also the appliances were a cheap flimsy brand and the pantry and bedroom closets had those flimsy cheap white wire shelving, not wood shelves. It is a doable place to live but the apartments were built cheap for the rent they charge.

It was and could be such a great place to live with so many amenities for residents, but the company took over from the property management company and is trying to run the huge complex with a skeleton crew that can’t keep up with the amount of work involved-cutting corners to make a bigger profit?

Still adjusting but so far I do like the people here, everyone is mostly very friendly but I do wish at times there wasn't so many "clicky" groups.

This community is not a 55+ community. This community is more full of elderly than I thought it would be. The maintenance and the cleaning staff and the office staff are great but the upper management on staff can be hard to work with it.

This community felt like a big impersonal area that did not have the feeling this place does.
Beautiful facility the staff just did not expect us.
We chose Affinity at Boise because of the value for the money. No others places that we looked into even compared, we were very surprised because it was a wonderful place. The apartment was good size, everything is pretty new and it had good lighting. I think the staff members and the residents are very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of common areas available for people who live here where you can go and hangout. He was on the floor that had a beauty salon and gym and it was all very convenient. The location of the facility itself is in a great spot, if you can still drive or walk it is close to local shopping. I would highly recommend to others looking.

I was reading the post regarding Affinity at Boise, I am actually very happy here. I have been here since it opened and I love it. They had made adjustments to the continental breakfast which now includes cereal, fruit, yogurt and pastries five days a week. We have a few residents that bring down bake goods, we have a retired chef that is always doing something for the community. The community has so many amenities I would recommend checking out the website, but if you are looking for a social place to live, this is very much a social community for sure. The one thing I love is the price of living here. Since I am able to cook for myself and husband, we save a lot of money. I have seen other communities that are "independent" but provide meals and the price is so much more. The "assisted" living communities, well we are not ready for that, not yet anyway. I would say that if someone is looking for a newer community and are able to cook for themselves, give this place a call and at least talk about what you are looking for. They will save you money.

Newer facility, near stores, restaurants, theaters, physicians. Complimentary continental breakfast is cereal, coffee. Some residents bring home-cooked food. On site movies are dated; pub has complimentary choice of pop, beer, 1 red, 1 white wine-no mixed drinks served. Must ask for free 15 min., 2x mo. housekeeping services. I.E: Two sinks cleaned for us in 15 minutes. Tiny metal decks are more suitable for plants. This is independent living; no 'care services'. Average age of friendly residents: 80's +, quite a number of wheelchairs/walkers. Must have partner to swim in facility pool. Quiet location, but adjacent to extremely busy state hwy. Staff willing to work with residents with questions, concerns.

It's a good place, the place itself, but I'm not happy. If I had noticed before I sign the lease, that the cupboards were so small you couldn't put a dinner plate in there, except on it's side, I wouldn't have done it. When they were trying to get me to sign the lease they told me all about housekeeping coming in twice a month. When they come they only do the bathrooms and the floors, and to me that's not housekeeping. I still have some maintenance and upkeep issues in my apartment that they are have trouble taking care of. The community has plenty of amenities and activities, the staff is friendly and all of that. This is senior apartments though, they don't have assisted living.
