For the meals and dining, my loved one is super picky about his food. It's hard for me to tell if he's being picky for no reason or if the food could really be better. No comment on the activities as our loved one does not leave his room. Everything is so expensive now but they did work with me a little on the cost. Based on the experience we have had, we would recommend this community to other families... Read more

This is not a good place for your loved one. If your loved one needs assistance with showers you must provide an additional in home health agency to help with showers. If your loved one gets a cold or other illness you are requested to call hospice so the hospice nurses can care for your loved one. You can only use hospice once with Medicare and calling them for a cold or slight illness will make it so you can’t use hospice at end of life. If the clothing gets stained, they are thrown away without your permission and then you get a call demanding more clothes. There are not tv’s in the rooms. You must provide your own or they can watch the tv in the living room. There is a very small backyard that they can walk around. Those are the only activities.

I am very satisfied with the care. Besides being very satisfied with the care, the owner and staff are friendly.

[Name removed] is a lovely person, very kind and welcoming. The home was a little dark and the room I saw could have been a little more tidy. They fix a lot of food from scratch and do not feature sugary drinks or snacks. [Name removed] welcomes you to her "humble home".

This place was a little too dark - walls in shades of brown - I think mom needs a place a bit brighter to help delay her onset of sundowners.

A Place for Mom has scored Absolute Care Home 7.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
