Abingdon Care and Rehabilitation Center

The staff is very nice and they are concerned about my mom’s wellbeing. They are efficient at providing things right away. I have spoken to everybody and people know me and my mom. I have no complaints about the rehab. The social worker knows what he is doing and he cares about everyone there. The therapist explained everything she wanted to do for my mom to help her with her strength. The nurses tell me whether she eats or not; they are my eyes and ears.

The lady in admissions and the social worker are really helpful. My loved one complains about the meals but I think they are fine. I think the patients' bathrooms could use more attention.

I like the way the staff treats my mom. I am happy with it and the facility. My mom is doing so much better. Her diet is really important and they give her the right meals and portions. When she calls them for help, they come fast. She is healing fast and they are giving her the right medication and food for her medical condition. The staff are friendly and give me the information I need. If I have a question they give me the right answer. It is clean and I really like it.

My loved one seems content. The staff and nurses seem very friendly. The social worker seemed very friendly on the phone. He is happy with the meals he is getting. The first room was not clean but the second room and its bathroom are clean. The communication can improve. I have only talked to someone once or twice and I called this morning but I am waiting for a call back.

So far the meals seem to be fine. It is clean but the facility itself could use some upgrades.

The nurses are caring. The care is good but they was a problem with clothes going missing.

It has been excellent so far for my loved one! The nurses are excellent. The social worker/case manager has been extremely helpful. He complains about the meals but that is just because he don't like the smaller portions.

The rehab and care is excellent. When she went in the nurses did not listen to her but it has gotten better in last few days.

They were very courteous to us. The nurses were attentive to him. The staff were very polite and nice. It looked clean to me. He said the food is very good.

They were pretty good with all of their services and did a good job. The nurses were terrible at answering the phones but were otherwise pretty good. Everybody there is friendly and even the patients. They keep it pretty clean. They take too long to answer the phones. They need to let the people know what is going on the outside from the inside.

Overall the experience has been very, very good. As far as the meals, she hasn't enjoyed anything that has been served to her so far.

Some of the staff are exemplary and some are unbearable. There have been a lot of issue, mainly with the CNA care. One CNA was particularly good. And the charge nurse was very good. The food quality really fluctuated.

The entrance is very nice and the rooms were clean. He was happy with the variety and the quality of the food. One of the nurses was very nice. My father's primary language is Spanish and he had difficulties communicating with the staff in English. Some of the staff were not kind when it came to understanding him.

From what I can tell the staff is friendly. The facility is overall a little shabby. The facility is lacking staff. The nurses don't show up and sometimes medicine was missed. The food is just not tasty.

Everyone is super friendly. The nursing supervisor was very good. They are really good about calling me and they keep me posted. They are trying as much as they can to help my mom. They try to stay on top of everything and they call back if I ask. The social worker has also been helpful. It is clean. Aesthetics aren't everything, especially when it comes to the care, but the facility could use a little updating.
