The ashley Manor facilities provided great care for my grandmother and were so helpful with all my questions and concerns. Every time I came to visit my grandma the caregivers were helpful and updated me on everything concerning her health. The marketer was so helpful when it came to moving her in and the administrator and staff made sure she was taken care of and that our family was aware of everything going on. After she passed away they were so caring and helped us move all of her belongings. I highly recommend Ashley Manor to anyone with a family member who has alzheimers or dementia!

I really appreciate the people at Rosetta Assisted Living. My loved one seems t be getting along with everybody and actually enjoys being there. They have tried their best to accommodate her with all of her medical issues. It's a very nice facility, smaller in some areas of the memory care unit, but with a very spacious living room area.

Discover the many ways to pay for senior living

Planning ahead can better position you to make good choices for your loved one’s care in the future. But if your aging family member needs care now, there are ways to finance the cost of long-term care through a combination of approaches.

What are care homes?

Residential care homes are houses in residential neighborhoods that are equipped, adapted, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually between two and 10. Like assisted living communities, staff at care homes typically help residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and medication management. Although residential care homes vary significantly depending on the community, services usually include:

  • Help with personal care
  • Medication management
  • Mobility assistance
  • Nutritious meals
  • Social activities and outings
  • Housekeeping
  • Laundry

Learn More About Care Homes in Blackfoot, ID

Known as the “Potato Capital of the World,” Blackfoot is the center of the Idaho potato industry and is home to both the world’s largest baked potato and the world’s largest potato chip.

In Blackfoot, residential care homes — sometimes called care homes, board and care homes, group homes, or personal care homes — are often houses in residential neighborhoods that are adapted, equipped, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually 10 or less. Similar to assisted living but in a smaller, more residential setting, these homes provide supervision, organized events, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). This means care homes can help with everyday routines but typically do not provide 24-hour skilled nursing assistance.

Cost of Care Homes in Blackfoot, ID

The median monthly cost of a room in a care home is about $3,900 in the state of Idaho. However, the cost of living in a care home depends largely on location. Since the homes are private residences, costs are tied to real estate value and therefore may vary greatly.
