I would like to say that the review that gave a half star is so untrue! I have family there and have friends that there love ones are also there and it’s the only place I would ever refer to someone looking for quality care and love. The people that work there not only do a excellent job of caring for the residents but they make them like their family. They even are very loving toward the residents family. They treat each person there with the upmost love and care!

Discover the many ways to pay for senior living

Planning ahead can better position you to make good choices for your loved one’s care in the future. But if your aging family member needs care now, there are ways to finance the cost of long-term care through a combination of approaches.

What are care homes?

Residential care homes are houses in residential neighborhoods that are equipped, adapted, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually between two and 10. Like assisted living communities, staff at care homes typically help residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and medication management. Although residential care homes vary significantly depending on the community, services usually include:

  • Help with personal care
  • Medication management
  • Mobility assistance
  • Nutritious meals
  • Social activities and outings
  • Housekeeping
  • Laundry

This rural Northern Georgia town offers access to daily resources like shopping centers, restaurants, and health care facilities in a spacious, welcoming setting. Dawsonville businesses, festivals, and museums — like the Annual Mountain Moonshine Festival or the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame — celebrate the area’s local history and culture.

In Dawsonville, residential care homes — sometimes called care homes, board and care homes, group homes, or personal care homes — are often houses in residential neighborhoods that are adapted, equipped, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually 10 or less. Similar to assisted living but in a smaller, more residential setting, these homes provide supervision, organized events, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). This means care homes can help with everyday routines but typically do not provide 24-hour skilled nursing assistance.

Cost of Care Homes in Dawsonville, GA

The median monthly cost of a room in a care home in 2019 was about $2,100 in the state of Georgia. However, the cost of living in a care home depends largely on location. Since the homes are private residences, costs are tied to real estate value and therefore may vary greatly.
