Residential Care Home
Mali and her team of caregivers really care for their clients and their loved ones. Mali brought my parent to the hospital and waited for me to meet her there before leaving the ER to return back to her staff and other residents. This is not what I experienced from another PCH in the past. Her team cares not just for your loved one but for you as well. She and her team have saved me and my child's sanity. Very gracious and kind. The facility and residents are kept clean at all times. They feed the residents well, monitor their medications and even help keep your loved one manicured and entertained. Worth every penny!!!!! Definitely worth a visit and I truly recommend giving her a chance to provide a home for your loved one......
The owner is very hands on, kind and efficient when it comes to the administrative paperwork. The two caregivers are both kind and accommodating. They make sure mom is well cared for. The offer homemade tasty food. She has a little sun room attached to her lovely room that we can meet in when we visit. This community is licensed for six residents. I would recommend this clean cared for home.
When my 82 y/o father arrived there in Feb 2018, he came from a rehab facility because he fell at the previous Assisted living residence. When he arrived at Comfort Care, he was bedridden, barely talking and so weak he couldn't push himself up in bed Now he is talking, standing, walking, getting in and out of bed and going to a senior program five days a week. He has gained weight and looks much better. He gets wonderful care there! [Name removed] owns it and is a RN and communicates regularly with me. The two ladies who work there are awesome. He gets three balanced meals a day and snacks. At most, there are three residents to one caregiver which I like a lot.

Residential care homes are houses in residential neighborhoods that are equipped, adapted, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually between two and 10. Like assisted living communities, staff at care homes typically help residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and medication management. Although residential care homes vary significantly depending on the community, services usually include:
Buford, a suburb of Atlanta, offers its residents easy access to plenty of convenient resources, such as shopping centers, restaurants, and healthcare facilities, and it lies within close reach of Atlanta’s attractions and downtown area. Within city limits, residents enjoy abundant, diverse shopping opportunities, and local attractions like the Museum of Buford.
In Buford, residential care homes — sometimes called care homes, board and care homes, group homes, or personal care homes — are often houses in residential neighborhoods that are adapted, equipped, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually 10 or less. Similar to assisted living but in a smaller, more residential setting, these homes provide supervision, organized events, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). This means care homes can help with everyday routines but typically do not provide 24-hour skilled nursing assistance.
The median monthly cost of a room in a care home in 2019 was about $3,000 in Buford, $2,000 in the Buford metropolitan area, and $2,100 in the state of Georgia. However, the cost of living in a care home depends largely on location. Since the homes are private residences, costs are tied to real estate value and therefore may vary greatly.
The total household expenses associated with living in Buford are rated equally to the national average. Grocery and other essential costs fluctuate above and below the average.
