Residential Care Home
My husband has been at this facility for over a year now. The last facility he was at he was always unresponsive and not very lively. I would come by and he wouldn't even wake up. Once we moved him to Golden House his overall health seemed to improve. He started walking again & he even started talking. They take very good care of him making sure he gets to go outside once a day. He has gained weight since he has been at this facility which was always an issue at the last facility I guess they didn't make sure he ate enough. I am so very thankful and glad I found Golden House Assisted Living and their administrator [Removed]. Thank you so much and this is my thanks for the great service!

Planning ahead can better position you to make good choices for your loved one’s care in the future. But if your aging family member needs care now, there are ways to finance the cost of long-term care through a combination of approaches.
Residential care homes are houses in residential neighborhoods that are equipped, adapted, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually between two and 10. Like assisted living communities, staff at care homes typically help residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and medication management. Although residential care homes vary significantly depending on the community, services usually include:
A stroll through St. Augustine’s Historic District transports visitors to another era — the mid-1500s, to be exact. That’s when Spanish settlers first landed in this marshy, coastal area carved out by the Matanzas, Tolomato, and San Sebastian rivers. Today you can tour grand cathedrals, Colonial fortresses, Gilded Age mansions, and iconic hotels while exploring downtown St. Augustine’s palm-lined, lantern-lit streets. To the east you’ll find the pristine beaches of Anastasia State Park, and about 30 minutes northwest await the professional courses and resort amenities of the World Golf Village.
In St. Augustine, residential care homes — sometimes called care homes, board and care homes, group homes, or personal care homes — are often houses in residential neighborhoods that are adapted, equipped, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually 10 or less. Similar to assisted living but in a smaller, more residential setting, these homes provide supervision, organized events, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). This means care homes can help with everyday routines but typically do not provide 24-hour skilled nursing assistance.
The median monthly cost for a room in a care home is about $2,600 in the Jacksonville area and $2,800 in the state of Florida. However, the cost of living in a care home depends largely on location. Since the homes are private residences, costs are tied to real estate value and therefore may vary greatly.
