I can't speak enough about this place. They are so kind and caring. It isn't just a job to them. They treated my mom like she was their mom. I recommend anyone who needs a facility to go here.

This is one of the cleanest ALF I have ever visited the please is very clean no bad odor like other ALF. And it is the biggest home like ALF I visited. This large home has 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. There is a RN and a caregiver on staff for 7 to 8 residents. I love everything about the place and the staff. I placed my mon with them. And mon love it there.

I have had family members before in a home like this, and they have always been very well taken care of at Tender Heart. It feels like a home, not a hospital.

Discover the many ways to pay for senior living

Planning ahead can better position you to make good choices for your loved one’s care in the future. But if your aging family member needs care now, there are ways to finance the cost of long-term care through a combination of approaches.

What are care homes?

Residential care homes are houses in residential neighborhoods that are equipped, adapted, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually between two and 10. Like assisted living communities, staff at care homes typically help residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and medication management. Although residential care homes vary significantly depending on the community, services usually include:

  • Help with personal care
  • Medication management
  • Mobility assistance
  • Nutritious meals
  • Social activities and outings
  • Housekeeping
  • Laundry

Learn More About Care Homes in Palm Bay, FL

Welcome to sunny Palm Bay, Florida! One of the largest cities in central Florida, Palm Bay is nicknamed the “Bass Capital of the World” due to the superb fishing in the region.

In Palm Bay, residential care homes — sometimes called care homes, board and care homes, group homes, or personal care homes — are often houses in residential neighborhoods that are adapted, equipped, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually 10 or less. Similar to assisted living but in a smaller, more residential setting, these homes provide supervision, organized events, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). This means care homes can help with everyday routines but typically do not provide 24-hour skilled nursing assistance.

Cost of Care Homes in Palm Bay, FL

The median monthly cost of a room in a care home in 2019 was about $2,800 in Palm Bay, $3,600 in the greater metropolitan area, and $2,800 in the state of Florida. However, the cost of living in a care home depends largely on location. Since the homes are private residences, costs are tied to real estate value and therefore may vary greatly.
