Champlain Valley Senior Community in Willsboro, NY
4.1

Searching for long-term care for loved ones is a daunting task. Our family was fortunate to find the Champlain Valley Senior Community in Willsboro, New York. Our father suffers from dementia and was in need of care that we simply could not provide at home. The folks at Champlain Valley are kind, compassionate and caring, all you can ask for in a facility that is looking after a loved one. The facility is beautiful, clean, peaceful and provides a wonderful view of the Bouquet River. Living out of state, we appreciate the regular updates and communication from staff, keeping us apprised of his condition between visits. Champlain Valley is a gem of the North County.

The Residence at Shelburne Bay
4.8

We chose this community because they had assisted living and memory care. She was able to transfer to memory care without having to change facilities. When you walk in, you felt like you were walking into a really nice hotel. The room sizes in the memory center were not so big, but assisted living was fantastic, they were like a small condo. My mother was a phenomenal cook, so no food was as good as hers, but she still enjoyed the food. They had menus based off diet restrictions, but the food was very good. My mother loved their deserts, they had a lot of variety. My favorite part about The Residence at Shelburne Bay is how personable and attentive the staff is. It is all about the residents here. They know everything about every patient and they are not judgmental. They would call 2-3 a day for updates on my mom, there was great communication from the staff at all times. They still call me even after my mom has passed to see if there is anything I need. It is like family. I would not recommend any other place.

Maple Ridge Memory Care in Essex, VT
5.0

Every single thing about Maple Ridge Memory Care is absolutely great! All of the staff have always been helpful and friendly. So kind to my sister, holding her hand, checking in on her if she was in her room. Her laundry was always done when I was there. Sheets on her bed were always clean. Communication with the family is very good. [Name removed] and the nurses were always willing to meet and discuss any questions and will let you know if they are concerned about anything. The move in process was seamless. They even provided furniture and bought a new dresser when the one they had didn't fit. I cannot praise the facility and the staff highly enough. I would highly recommend it to anyone considering housing a loved one there.
