The Oasis of Dumas Assisted Living
4.9

The Oasis of Dumas Assisted Living is a nice facility. From the first time that we walked in, we knew that this was going to be a very good place. The Executive Director, [name removed], even came in on her day off to give us the tour. The staff was/is very accommodating and talked to us about our needs and wants. They gave us a tour of the place and even showed us some of the other residents' rooms. They let us look at the kitchen and see how they prepared the meals. They try to give it a family atmosphere by having everyone come to the dining room and eat together. The housekeeping is awesome, the place smells like a house, not the urine smells of a nursing home, or the hospital type smells like you might find. Plus the residents supply their own furniture so they can feel more at home. They even let pets in if you have them. They have laundry service and everyone's laundry is done separate from the others, so no mix ups or lost clothes. Overall, I would recommend The Oasis of Dumas Assisted Living to others.

They were very accommodating and sat down with us and made sure we understood everything. We felt comfortable there, we felt like it was a place where she would be well taken care of and we still feel that every time we walk through the door.

From the first time we went and looked at the place we noticed how clean and how nice it smelled, not like urine like most nursing homes smell like. They are super nice and very friendly and helpful.
