Willow Creek in Elizabethtown, KY
4.0

This is based solely off of a limited amount of exposure to the community. My brother was miserable where he was before; he needed a change, a new caregiver, and a new place to call home. When we moved him in here, we had hopes that he would be happier and he really is. The people are very welcoming, the residents and staff make it feel like home. It generally has a good vibe to it. The staff is knowledgeable, nice, and helpful. He requires a little more care than we originally thought but they’ve been great about helping us with that. The food is good and there are plenty of options. They have a menu that you can order what you want from. They take everyone out for lunches once a week and there are always lists of activities and occasional social events. They make an effort to get everyone involved. We’re paying a little bit more here and there are some things that aren’t included in the cost (like phone and cable) but he’s happier so I’m happy. Overall, I’d recommend them.

Walnut Creek Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Evansville, IN

The main concern is that they are understaffed at Walnut Creek, which is probably a problem everywhere. The staff that they do have, however, is proficient, caring, and friendly. Mom enjoys the food, it's fresh, tasty and very nutritious. And if there's a food she doesn't like, they gladly make her something else. We would recommend the facility.
