Memory Care
My brother signed on the dotted line because of the cost. But he stays there because of the administrator and the staff. They make sure that he gets the medical care he needs and takes him to his appointments and check in on him everyday to make sure that he gets what he needs. You have to be buzzed in to get into the facility and you have to have a mask and your temperature is taken.
The overall is pretty good. Not much to do, pretty quiet, meals seem to be fine, people are friendly (including the staff). Everything is always clean, no issues there. The staff is always friendly, ready to answer any questions, and attentive. Can't say much about the quality of care except that my father seems to like it there. Never complains about how things are run. Meals and dinning are fine. Meal selections are nice, plenty of options to choose from and most of the facility eats together in the dining room. Not much to do that my father wants to participate in. Because if the medical issue he has, most things that involve snap judgments like bingo are out. Value for cost is lacking, the cost of the place is pretty high for family to cover down on. It's nearly a $[removed] an hour full time job (cost equivalent) and they don't even provide wifi.
The apartments are a nice size and they are kept clean. The common areas are clean and comfortable. There are plenty of daily activities for anyone interested and it's a good way to get to know other residents. The staff is caring and very helpful and ready to assist in any way. Savannah Court Minden has been the best choice for my Dad.
