My mom was previously a resident at Peak Gardens Arvada and we had a positive experience there. The private room was large and sunny with a private bath, which was amazing! My Mom couldn't interact with the other seniors in the home due to her being bedridden, but the staff was caring, friendly and made homemade meals daily for the residents. There is a nice living room area for visitors and a common area for the residents to have meals and activities. I appreciated all of the staff and how they genuinely cared for my mother in the short time that she was there.

My loved one was there for a short period of time. The value for the money was good. We picked this community, because this was a smaller community, and a better fit. They were very nice, caring, and welcoming. They were great. I would recommend to other families.

My Auntie has lived at Peak Gardens for over 7 months. She is 92 years young and thriving there. She feels at home and had a fairly smooth transition in the beginning. As the months have progressed she has settled in so comfortably. The staff make all the difference. This small community living situation is ideal for us - Perhaps it would prove the same for your elder - needing assistance and a loving residence in which to be "at home".

This is a very nice residential care home with room for 8 residents. It was nice and clean and our tour was very nice. The meals are homemade and the residents there seemed happy. We liked that it was smaller and that my mother-in-law would get the one-on-one care there as well. There was a waiting list and we needed something right away. But I would definitely recommend taking a tour if you're looking for a home-style setting.

Liked the home environment, however, they do not keep front door locked. They do have secure mats that alert them when someone gets up. Doors are locked at night. Do not use CNA's, but folks with a home assisted living certification. Use Kaiser and have access to rounder doctors. Owner very involved, but opening another home soon and will not be there as often. Night people can sleep.

I did not like the place that [name removed] was placed in. It was grossly understaffed. One person was on the dayshift, taking care of feeding, laundry, cooking, housekeeping, etc for all of the residents. Laundry, ready to be folded was stacked on the living room furniture when I visited. My daughters were told the meals would be home-cooked, the ones I saw were not. They were heated in the microwave or in the oven, not cooked from scratch. There was too much work on the dayshift for one person to keep up with while seeing to the needs of the residents. [name removed] shoes, and clothes were misplaced by the staff, or stolen by the other residents. He didn't receive the personal hygiene we were led to believe he would receive i.e. haircutting showers, shaving. Too much work for one staff member to handle. I visited several times while he was living there I would not recommend it to anyone. what my daughters were told when they placed their father there was never realized, adequate staff, home-cooked meals, no field trips, no walks. [name removed] has been gone for over a year and you are now just asking for an evaluation.

Moving out next week after 31 days. Avoid this place. They are supposed to give meds at 8:00 am. I have to ask for meds daily around 10:00 am. Doc prescribed new med 13 days ago. Caregiver put in drawer and didn’t give me meds. They gave me someone else meds one day. Some of the caregivers yell at residents and treat disrespectful. Dinner sometimes is a cold cheese sandwich. Horrid place.
