I went there for rehab after surgery, very poor environment for people trying to heal. My meds were not available, told no one was able to get "into the medication area" I asked that they call a local pharmacy to deliver the meds, refused. Placed in room right next to COVID rooms, even though many empty beds visible away from COVID area. Residents wandering into others rooms. Food was horrible, saw a physical therapist assistant ONCE, no therapy to assist with walking! Very short staffed, per diem staff unfamiliar with routine. Staff not available when bell is rung for help with bathroom needs. I left after 2 days. Got better care at home!

Care for my mother was terrible.. always short staffed.. nurses working 16 hour shifts .. food awful .CNA’s do all the work, most nurses just sit at the desk and pass out pills.. sometimes as many as 5-6 lights going off with patients needs and no one is around. Had to stay with mom all day to make sure her needs were met. It has gone downhill and I would not recommend it.. staff has an attitude when asked to do basic tasks

We toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. Woodlake seemed like a nice enough place, but I don't think it would have been the best fit for my loved one. We were looking into memory care, and their memory care unit was on the third floor. That just seems a little too isolated and hard to navigate.

A Place for Mom has scored Woodlake At Tolland 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
