It is located five minutes from where I live. The price was acceptable. It had a quite a few of the amenities on the checklist. The newly remodeled room was quite large. Friendly atmosphere from residents and staff. Great care.

For over 5 years, my wife and I experienced pleasurable time here. Meals and services were very good. Enjoyed the weekly entertainment events. Many enjoyable interactions with staff and residents. During my wife's recent passing, she received outstanding care from the assisted living staff.

I like the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to help. I enjoy relaxing in the courtyard and I do 12 laps around the courtyard for exercise. I like bingo and live entertainment.

Generally happy with the facility. Problem is lack of consistency on procedures in dining room. I met my companion here.

If I could give a 10 star rating, I would! WTC has gone above and beyond. The residence is gorgeous, every employee is professional and caring, and the food is wonderful. WTC greets the residents with sincerity and a smile. Whether your love one is in memory care, assisted-living, or independent living, WTC provides exceptional service with love and respect. We are in awe, blessed, and feel incredibly grateful. My 78 year old sister in law moved in on [date removed]. She had been in a post acute facility as a result of a brain bleed, surgery, and strokes. She has limited sight, uses a walker, incontinent, and requires assistance with her daily needs (showering, housekeeping, laundry, meals, etc.). She can no longer do chores, like hang up her clothes, and greatly appreciates the help. She has a call-button necklace should she need immediate assistance. She absolutely loves her new community and is getting familiar with the various activities and opportunities to socialize.Thank you.

Over all cleanliness was above average. My only 'complaint' was they had a difficult time with the weekly house cleaning. The hk left and it took a while to replace and mom's apt was skipped a few times over a couple of months. It took too long, they should have hired a temp agency. It is a safe place. I would live there.

My mom, sister and I are very happy with Westmont Town Court. I can connect with activities via LifeLoop app so I know what's going on every week. I live in Northern California and Mom and sister are in Southern California They are having a bit of a turnover right now....at least management wise. The servers in the dining room area are all very polite and patient with the residents. Mom's housekeeper is awesome and does a wonderful job.

Overall, the staff at Westmont Town Court are kind and friendly. The food is tasty and there is a nice variety. Communication with the family from the staff is pretty good. I think our move in was unusual. Many of the family got Covid and then my loved one (the resident) got Covid. That meant no visiting to help with adjusting to it all or getting questions on details answered right away. My loved one was evaluated at one level but really needed more care. Getting it right was pretty bumpy. Then two of the main staff people left. The Director got Covid (not in that order), so we know there was a lot of scrambling. I read the handbook and went on the tour. So much information! The hardest thing was getting medications straightened out. And getting an itemized statement of all services rendered for each month, which I'm still working on. My loved one has been difficult at times. I feel that the needs of my loved one were met, even if it wasn't what was in question by my loved one. My loved one is safe and clean and my loved one's room is clean.

The activities in [removed] are very good now that a replacement has been hired. The dining in the Assisted Living area is very good, but the [removed] dining is not as good. I believe that Westmont is short of staff, but the people they do have are very good and show care and incentive.

It's an amazing place! Mom is so much more active than when living by herself!! She is now closer to my sister but can retain her independence. She loves the activities; whether it's listening to a concert or movie night. They have an app called "LifeLoop" where family members can view all the activities that she attended that week as well as pictures! Being in the dining room for all 3 meals is also a great way for her to meet new people; I must say the food is good, and there are lots of choices. Yes, I have eaten there!! Staff responds to inquiries in a timely manner; this is very helpful as I don't live in town, and my sister works so can't always answer my questions.

Our family had an in person tour and we thought the experience was very nice, all the of staff were very friendly and this was one of our top choices.
My uncle is pretty happy here and feels very welcomed, but there are a lot of changes going on that are impacting the facility. They have a new director, a new chef, and staff turnover rate is high. Things fell behind and they're trying to catch up. They are short staffed in the dining room, but the food is adequate. The sales person is helpful, but did misinform us a bit in the beginning. The staff is friendly overall. They do offer transportation and my uncle utilized that recently for an appointment and said it went great. They have a nice pool, physical therapy room that they can also use for exercise, and a theatre. My uncle is comfortable here overall and has a lot of privacy. They do have a welcoming committee that sat with him at dinner, which he enjoyed. I'm just not sure that I would recommend it to others considering all of the changes and them falling behind on things and being short staffed.

When we initially interviewed with the sales individual we were under the impression that there would be a lot of services and supervision, however that was very minimal. It is a very large place and the nurse that was there we thought was a good nurse but it was one nurse during the day for the entire community. Due to the staffing shortages they got our loved ones medication management all wrong - but when we expressed our concerns they were more then willing to accommodate and work with us. We weren't able to eat any meals there but according to our loved one it sounded really good. Right now with the staffing shortages we think this is a good place for independent living.
Pretty clean. People are very friendly. The staff is okay. They are very helpful and compassionate. The food is standard fair, I can't be real concerned about the nutrition part. As long as my wife is happy enough with the food. Nothing adequate. I am disappointed, they let her go to bed instead of engaging in activities. They need to enforce participation. I can't go to many other places that is reasonable. They have two different floor plans in the memory care area. My wife's floor plan, there is no bathroom in the entrance door. It's not real conducive. She has to come out of her room to go to the bathroom and sink, which is exposed to the outside. Overall it's great, but a couple of employees needs to be more customer-oriented, and I prefer another room for my wife.

A Place for Mom has scored Westmont of Escondido 9.6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
