I have been to many places like this and this place just has it all. They care about each of the patients from what I see, and I am here every day with my husband. They give the patient hope. I would give it 10/10! I think they are all taking care of the patients. They watch over the patients and take care of their needs. The food is decent, but it's not home cooking.... Read more

Run for the hills. Steer CLEAR away from this facility! It's horrifying! They remain understaffed. Some aides are extremely rough w/patients, display lack of empathy, take frequent breaks & only care about themselves. Loved ones wait hours to be fed breakfast when lunch & dinner arrive but have yet to be fed breakfast. Patients lay in their urine/feces for hours. Family has to plead for loved one to receive pain meds. Discussed numerous concerns w/Nursing Director & Social Worker. Investigation launched to no avail. It's unconscionable the high ratings given by Medicare & A Place for Mom.

I would absolutely recommend this facility. The rehab therapy is excellent for my loved one! The staff is very pleasant. I haven't heard him complain at all about the meals so that is good. The nurses seem overwhelmed. It can be difficult to get information from them so you have to rush to get it.

They say he is improving. The quality of the food could be better.

They have been pretty attentive and try to motivate her. They attempt to try to get her to do therapy. Everything is pretty good there. They keep the rooms pretty clean. They kept me in the loop about her care.

The only thing is when I call nobody picks up the phone. Other than that, I have no complaints. She is getting better every day. The floor where she is at, everybody is so nice.

The staff has been fantastic but there is still that one person that you want to keep your eye on. My loved one is thrilled with some services. They have been commendable they said he is a star. Everything was clean including the rooms, bathroom, and hallways. Everyone is friendly when you walk in. If I could help improve the food I would but their hospitality is excellent.

There is only one problem, everybody, in general, is very good. They're pretty good. The night nurse knows how to anticipate the needs of my husband. She is a very nice person. It's very clean. The only issue is that the bathroom has no venting system, so if they don' clean it every day, it smells but the atmosphere is very nice. I think they have to improve the communication.

The staff is very helpful and kind. They have nice doctors on hand for medical questions. The facility is very clean and it does not feel like a nursing home or old age home. It was important that my father would be successful and not at a place that was dark or had despair. It is very bright and feels lively with joy. Everyone I have met has been kind with great personalities. Breakfast is good but the other meals the meat is not that great. It is hard and tough to chew.

They are fairly attentive there. They make good headway in physical therapy. They are lacking on the weekend with checking on the patients. You notice it when it is a weekend. The two boys are great in therapy. The woman who runs the front desk is wonderful. My father has been there for over two weeks and I would like to hear from them once a week about his care. I talked to three of them, the social worker, nurse, and the physical therapist gave me an update on the one phone call.

I say the nursing is good. One of the nurses were completely concern about my daughter she is top notch 10 out of 10. The CNA needs a little sensitivity training. I think they need to have a little talk to. They told me that they don't do showers on Sunday and her showers are only two times a week. I would rate them good except the staff that was fighting. Whenever you come in they will say hi to you. They are very clean but there is one bathroom that is used for men and women and I don't like that. All the way around it is quite clean.

They are light on how things operate and had to ask about it. Thin staff on the weekends. They have been very good to her and the nurse's aides have been as well. One secretary was very good with her transportation to the doctor. It's very clean and the floors shine. My loved one fills out a menu and does not always get what she ordered. There hasn't been much communication.

I was very impressed with a staff person I saw feeding a man and teaching him how to eat himself and I found that really amazing that they were trying so hard to help him eat normally. They are very helpful and the food is very good with lots of good variety. I would like to get more of that information to know what is happening from the doctors.

A Place for Mom has scored Venetian Care and Rehabilitation Center 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
