Bailed on me less than 24 hrs before my surgery, because the caregiver decided she was uncomfortable with the drive

I gave them over a month's notice that I needed someone and was told it wouldn't be a problem. I got a caregiver assigned 3 days before my procedure , Surgery is on Monday. I personally spoke with the caregiver and told her where my surgery would be. She text me the day before my surgery on a Sunday telling me she's not comfortable making the drive, and thought she was doing a huge favor to call and tell me (last minute of course). Couldn't reach the owner, I told caregiver on Friday and then she waits till the day before Sunday to tell me she's not comfortable making the drive. And the owner was MIA, I understand it's a Sunday and she has responsibilities other than me, but this was an emergency and I was up against the clock. Waiting til the following business day was NOT an option because my surgery was Monday AM. Completely unacceptable considering how much notice they had I will never use again, But it looks like they are busy enough and won't be needing my business.

Total Assurance Home Healthcare is truly heaven sent! Our regular caregiver called out at 9PM the night before her scheduled shift, and Total Assurance HHC found us a courteous and professional replacement the SAME DAY! It’s good to know they are people you can count on no matter the time of day it is!
