I'm using this agency for my dad and we wanted a male caregiver and they responded quickly with someone. He stays with my dad on the weekends. They are great at following up with me to make sure everything is OK. They are highly trained and go a step above their training and are excellent. He is patient, kind and polite to my dad. He also helps clean a little like the dishes or if the sheets need to be changed. And he'll fix his food for him. I am so comfortable with this agency.... Read more

I would not recommend them, only because I felt that the initial discussion we had about what caregivers would be able to do and what they actually ended up being able to do was entirely different. The understanding was that they would have experienced caregivers when it came to dementia, and that they would be able to take our loved one on outings. We feel like they were not honest with us about the training and experiences of the nurses. We wanted caregivers to have their own cars, and many did not. Consistency was important to us, and there were too many shift changes and changes in care. There were some great caregivers. But overall they didn't communicate to us well what they were and were not capable of doing.
There were a couple small glitches getting started, but all came together and is working very well. My mother likes the two staff members who have come to help her. Having Synergy Care has help us put off placing mom in an assisted living facility for a while.

Synergy was a let down. Maybe all care taking services are that way. But I will keep searching. Synergy is off our list. Miscommunication with receptionist/caretaker/client, one fell asleep on couch, several mom 'fired' and they just walked out leaving them alone: dangerous. Parents both seem with it and can talk a good game.

Response from SYNERGY HomeCare of Rockville, Bethesda and Potomac, MD
May 11, 2020Hello- We apologize if you feel we did not live up to your expectations. I would like to speak with you regarding this situation because we are not aware of it. Please feel free to call and ask for Ross Fierman (Owner). [removed]. Thank you.
Synergy Home Care was very helpful in providing a solution when my aunt was released from rehabilitation and required someone with her in her home. They coordinated everything, as well as an assessment to ensure that the best caregivers were placed. I found the key contacts at Synergy's office to be genuine and always helpful.

Very professional yet friendly. Had answers for all my questions but my husband decided on a company closer to his office in case he needed to be in contact with them.

I was happy with this service. The staff has been very helpful with getting us the care that we needed. The community is clean. We needed more care than what was needed at the time.
