My first experience at Summer House Park Provence was a Chamber of Commerce networking event, and later they welcomed our professional women’s business group monthly meeting. The staff was so friendly, the food delicious, and the parties were so much fun! We got to mingle with local politicians, business owners and residents. Years later, my family and I volunteered there and helped with clearing a spot for the vegetable garden that is still thriving today. From a field trip to a flower farm to daily activities to large parties they make it memorable! The events would always be decorated with fun themes, costumes and props made for awesome pictures with friends and loved ones and music to set the mood: Old West, Roaring 20’s, Champagne Brunch, Tropical luau, Mardi Gras parade, as well as the daily favorites like Bingo, ice cream social, happy hour and exercise. The staff there does an incredible job making it all happen!

The staff and caregivers are consistent, caring and friendly. Everyone makes sure that the residents have something to look forward to everyday. A party, activity outing, stroll out to the pond or just a cool drink out in the courtyard chatting with friends, there is something for everyone.

What a fun place! I volunteered for their Vegas Party and really enjoyed visiting with the residents. We had such a great time playing PLINKO! The staff seemed to really be engaging with the people that live there.

Very home-like atmosphere. My Mother-in-law has been there five years. She enjoys the casino and bingo. She has friends that she eats dinner with and she loves to read the books provided in the fitness room and the great room.

By far the nicest community, largest apartments, and largest property. When we looked, no one had the variety in floor plans and size. 17 floor plans ranging from studio to three bedroom, 2 bath. Wide hallways, several common areas, screened porches, 18 acres, walking paths, sidewalks everywhere. Not sure about the other comment about no common area space. There is a ton! Maybe they didn't see the whole place? My Mother-in-law, who is independent has a very large one bedroom with a large walk in closet and the kitchen has a full size fridge, sink food pantry and six feet of kitchen cabinets, upper and lower. Several places had tiny kitchen with bar sinks and dorm size fridges. She has lived at Park Provence for four years and they treat her like a Queen, especially the kitchen staff! Food is really good. You won't find a more friendly place.

We loved this community so much we are on the waiting list. We had some good word of mouth reviews about this being a great place. It was a good tour they answered all of our question and they promised to do right by my mom. It was nice and clean. And have a calendar of activities to do daily. I can't wait to have here here.

Very nice place. Grounds are gorgeous. Some the apts we looked at are large enough for two people. Even though they provide all meals I still would like a little stove not just a hot plate.

This is a beautiful facility with many wooded areas surrounding a pond with a walking area. Staff interactions with residents seemed more like family members than clients. Lively activities with many residents in attendance. Great tour.

I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. Overall I just wasn't impressed by what I saw at Park Provence compared to some of the other places I'd seen. Things just felt a little chaotic during my tour, and I also didn't feel like it had much in the way of common areas for the residents.

My Mother and Father-in-law moved to Camellia Gardens, now Park Provence, a little over two years ago when they were no longer able to take care of themselves and their home. It was the best decision we've ever made as a family. The staff treat them like they are their own family. They do so many little acts of kindness that I am sure are not a part of their job description. The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is very community oriented. The staff knows everyone by name and greets them with smiles every day. Their first holiday spent at the community was a difficult one, as they were not able to attend the family gathering in our home. One of the kitchen staff, Ms. Johnnie Mae went on her own time and bought my Mother-in -law a can of Petit Pois Peas, her favorite holiday side dish. Who does that? The staff at Park Provence. They ROCK! The Director Susan [removed] worked with our family to get them services when they needed it. She has been there since the building was built and has such a big heart. My Father-in-law passed the Christmas Eve but my Mother-in-law will still reside there. It's a safe, happy comfortable place with lots of love and hugs to go around for all of the residents. I recommend highly.

My aunt and uncle are living at Park Provence and they just love it there! There was one instance where my uncle had to go to the hospital, and they were very helpful throughout the whole process. They have just really been wonderful. The food is great, and all the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Park Provence has been great. My dad is adjusting. It's very comfortable and the people are so helpful with helping dad get adjusted. The facility is safe. They are willing to work with you. My dad has established some friends. He is able to go out for walks. There is a lot of things to do. The staff is responsive. They are working with him. We appreciate them taking care of our dad. They give us a lot of counseling.

A Place for Mom has scored SummerHouse Park Provence 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
