You're loved one will eat chicken fingers 5 out of 7 days, canned veggies, and canned fruit. PLUS added bonus sugar laced lemonade with every meal. Don't ask for lemonade, you will get it any way ask for a salad - you will not get. They do not follow special diets at all. Your items will go missing, CNAs will go through your drawers and TAKE your items that you have even supplied yourself. Your clothes and blankets will not come back from laundry Activities are limited more like non-existent CNAs, others some don't have a license, HIPPA violations are all over the facility, your MEDICAL AND FINANCIAL will be discussed openly amongst other residents / visitors Nothing is private, or respected

My aunt lived at Pine Knoll, one of the independent living facilities at St. Joseph of the Pines. Initially you have a good impression but the furnishings are old and shabby in the living areas. For being an independent living place this has a lot of infirm people; it's actually more like a nursing home. The food was good but service was poor - few services for what she was paying.

My mother is currently in the rehabilitation center at St Joseph's and it has been nothing less than horrible. I will give more details in the future but today the assistant nursing manager at the facility was neglectful in her responsibility to follow through with an appointment my mother had which resulted in over two hours of pain and suffering that was unnecessary. When the concern was addressed with the director of the facility, his response was that we all make mistakes. Will be posting more....

A Place for Mom has scored St. Joseph of the Pines Health Center 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
