My family always feels welcome when we visit. They always have positive attitudes when speaking about my mom. She is always clean and has clean clothes. They go over her medications periodically. I am always welcome to ask questions when needed. We have been pleased with her therapies she receives. She looks forward to going to therapy. The staff is super supportive and nice. Whatever you do, do not place your loved one in their care. We could only stand one week of this terrible place. In that week, medication was missed, no baths, awful food, smelled and told to soil pants instead of offering assistance to use the restroom. Staff don't care to be there and management only offers excuses on poor care.

The Memory care was honestly the grossest place I have ever been to in my life. While the staff seemed caring and concerned, the smell was awful and the actual memory care area was run down and terrible. I was looking for short term memory care for my mother in law while waiting for permanent placement. After one whiff I could not leave her there for one single second. Smelled worse than a poorly maintained gas station bathroom. Horrible.

They violated HIPPA by calling the wrong phone number and leaving a message on a recording that clearly stated the persons name (not on our list of approved names for sharing info with). The food looked like dog and cat food plus very dry. They did not listen to what we told them he had just had done (major surgery) and that he wouldn’t tell them if he was not ok. The staff were friendly, but did not have good communication skills regarding his meds and care. His meds were changed without us being informed. It stunk inside.

Mom has been at Settlers Ridge since [date removed]. The care for her has been second to none. Every member of their staff are great and treat Mom with the utmost care and kindness. They have all types of activities to keep the residence active. Mom loves playing dominoes, bingo and especially loves the local church volunteers that come and provide church services and singing. Mom feels safe and happy!! I recommend you visit Settler's Ridge when looking for great skilled care home away from home for your Mom or Dad.

My husband and I experience with Settlers Ridge from the start of the interview I had done on the place with my meeting with [name removed] and [name removed] went very well. They answered all my very important questions and made me feel that if I needed anything at all there would be staff to help. The other places I had interviewed in days past had been difficult because i kept comparing them to the great responses I had been given by Settlers Ridge. My days that I had to make decision to place my husband for temporary rehabilitation for physical therapy and occupational therapy needed to be made quickly. I chose on Settlers Ridge and do not take what I say or the score I give them as nothing went wrong, you will have ups and downs when you are bringing in someone new and the staff is getting to know the patient. We had a long day and a long night and and the hospital had transported him late so the night staff was there and that does not make anything any easier to get settled in in a new place right away especially when your in pain but I can say this they did what ever they could to help. The following day the Pt came to evaluate my husband and the OT also came in to evaluate and that helped them establish a program for him. [Name removed] is in charge of the therapy and she is excellent in her field and a very personable staff member. She made sure that I had every concern addressed and my husbands and [name removed] the social worker helped where her expertise could. There were other staff members that all contributed in my husbands care that made things much easier along the way. The actual caregivers such as the medication providers, LVN, RN, CNA, and maintenance and housekeeping they tried their best with what they had. The kitchen as I shared with the administrators that it was the worst food served ever and they need to search out another service provider. The Thanksgiving fest was excellent catered and served by the staff that was great food, we both we both enjoyed that evening with everyone. My husband was there for 20 days and came in there not walking and a noodle and left there supporting himself and able to stand up and transfer better and he was stronger. They did a great job and service for my husband while he was there. We would recommend the Settlers Ridge for Rehabilitation definitely!!

My mother has been in the memory care unit since October of 2018. Every care giver (nurses, aides, administration) has been very caring and knowledgeable. [names removed] are my favorites. They keep me informed of changes in my mother's health and show great concern for her. Mom seems to like living there also so that gives me peace of mind. I'm so thankful The Lord lead us to Settlers Ridge and that they had a place for my mother.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
