The reason for the "3" ratings are because the caregivers never seemed to be consistent. Since they couldn't get the same caregivers to come each day we had to tell them every time what needed to be done.

My sister, wife and I really liked the people that came to the house. I can't say much about the ones that came while my wife and I were traveling, but the ones we met were very caring and attentive to my sister's needs - and God knows she was very needy.

From the moment that we contacted Senior Helpers of Salem, we felt that they truly were interested in not only caring for my husband's needs but also wanting to include things that I was concerned about, such as light housekeeping needs. The staff is incredible, from the lady who first came to assess our needs to the caretaker, [name removed]. We couldn't recommend Senior Helpers of Salem more highly!

I give them all a five because they came here and they did a good job. I have no complaints. I would say they took the burden of caregiving off of me so I could manage all the other necessary tasks that had to be done throughout my brother's illness. Taking care of someone who is ill is no easy task and your place really helped me through it. Just having someone here who I knew was supporting me was a blessing.

I would recommend you check them out and be specific of the needs you need met. We needed some assistance in getting my loved one to a class, and making sure my loved one had lunch to eat, prior to the caregiver leaving for the day. There were specific questions that my loved one needed to answer by loved one and this wasn't done. I feel the supervisor dropped the ball here on getting all our needs to the caregiver.

I would highly recommend Senior Helpers for persons needing extra care around the house. The folks that they have sent out to our home, do an excellent job. They are prompt and professional. They are kind and caring. Besides health and hygiene care for my husband, they do light housekeeping. This summer, I got a much needed break, and was able to get out in the garden and yard. Their office staff is very cooperative with their scheduling. I would like to thank [name removed] from A Place for Mom for helping me get set up with this wonderful service. Senior Helpers have been such a Blessing to both of us.

They came in and helped my mom. We had an incident where my mother ended up in the hospital and Senior Helpers pulled people together to get her 24/7 care. I thought they did a great job, they were really flexible and helped us get through a hard time.

They have been great so far. They have been pretty consistent and reliable. We haven't had any complaints at all up to this point. I think they earn a five.
