I haven't seen anything bad in River Terrace, I have nothing negative to say from what I've seen. Everybody there seemed to be very friendly. My Aunt has been hospice for the last four months, so she's very stubborn and very demanding. I tried to explain to her that she will not get that one-on-one assistance when she is there.... Filthy dirty uncaring facility, inept difficult English speaking staff. Dog food served daily to patients, late distribution of meds. I have reported this hell hole to the appropriate department in Boston State House. They only want money and try to keep you there longer than needed. There are two or three decent women who work there. The Psychologist and director of nursing, the others all stink. The men there like watching women patients when the women are conducting intimate personal tasks. I agreed to stay 3 days, they refused to release me. After 10 miserable and frustrating days I escaped from this dump. They may even be sued for what was the worst experience of my life.

They are pretty quick to come when your press in the button. They make us feel comfortable. I think they could use more help. Sometimes they are short-staffed.

The stay at River Terrace has been okay. I feel as though I am not miserable but I am not thrilled either. I feel like they are not super responsive to my loved one's requests and I wish they could be more attentive then they have been with him. For example, on the first day, I visited and when I walked in he was sitting naked on the bed and need to be cleaned. I found a staff member to let them know what was going on and they said that his nurse had gone on break. We have experienced just a lack of attentiveness throughout the stay.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about River Terrace! River Terrace has done more in the past four days than the facility that my mom was in prior did the entire time we were there. Since my mom has arrived she is already sleeping better, you don't even know how great they are.

Our experience with River Terrace did not go well. We were mostly disappointed in their therapy program. My loved one was supposed to have therapy on a regular basis, this was not the case. In fact, they were coming and going with no schedule whatsoever. They pretty much and they came when they wanted to come.

Is there a Zero number of stars you can leave? My mom was placed there for rehabilitative care after an illness. It was clear after only a day or two that this was not a rehab center as much as it is a nursing home. The majority of patients there are not rehab patients and lie in bed or sit in wheelchair all day. The staff do not care and do not want to make any effort to care for the patients. I was even warned about this fact from their own staff. I'm not even sure where to start but her health was far worse when she left than when after I got her out of there after 2 long weeks, than when she entered. And they do not want you transferring out of there. So this was another obstacle they liked to mess with. She had developed a minor bed sore from her prior hospitalization. It became a gaping deep wound while there. I had asked for 2 weeks...yes, 2 weeks to have it looked at. Another 'hack' doctor that cared for her while there didn't seem to know how to treat it. She also had a bad cough that went untreated. We found out only 2 days after she left that it was actually pneumonia. Any time I approached someone to discuss my Moms health I was met with opposition. I even had some 'rolling eyes' from staff nembers. They were disrespectful all along about every issue I had, I am releived and I'm so glad we got her out of there and I will never ever recommend this facility to anyone

It was very clean. I have not been there for too many meals yet but when I was sitting with my loved one while she had her meal I noticed that she ate everything so that looks like a good thing! I'll be called if anything happens and when I am there they have done a good job with the communication as well. The therapy is good too!

Everybody is very attentive with my loved one. They all know who he is. When people pass by his room, they always say "hello.". I've been very, very pleased. They are very friendly and courteous. I think it's very clean. The communication is very good!

I am thoroughly happy with all of the care my loved one had. I think the staffing was awesome and the administration was really good. I was really impressed with the OT and PT and the tall gentlemen was exceptional. All of the staff were good. The RN's and administration was good. The facility is older and it needs some upgrades but it is not dirty. When she saw something she liked on the menu, she would order it.
